Good morning!!!!

70 outside this AM. Heading toward 90. Brief thunderstorm last night gave us some much needed rain. According to my scientifically proven method of measure, horse grain buckets, about 1/2 an inch. The lightening was more impressive, it managed a bolt that brought the wife into the house. That left me to complete the chores. Hey, dark, rain, bolts from above...what else could be entertaining? How about crossing paths with a skunk who also was just trying to call it a day. LOL. We managed to avoid each other.

Morning chore time and pick up sticks today. Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

good morning, 67 going to 84 today. Hard rain storm last night Did not last very long though

Oldest son's birthday today. He was adopted as 10 year old from a boys home in Giddings, Texas. He is mentally handicapped but holds down a job with Walmart.

Property tax changes came through with a slight reduction. 400 dollars per acre for forrest zoning vs 500 dollars for ag zoning

D is still working through the phone being stolen. Not easy in a foreign country. May be a random act or gov sponsored act. Who knows?
She has survived on two hours sleep a day for a while. Months of vacation time and accumulating fast because of comp time instead of overtime pay

The pressure washer is cleaned up and working but not for long. Seems it runs out of fuel after 20 seconds or so. Pulling back on the choke makes it run a little longer. Maybe the float needle valve is plugged? The GX 340 runs strong when it runs

Made a pork roast on the grill. It may not be a Lynx but it works good

Harpers Ferry is such a pretty and historic place. We go there often and enjoy the views. Hope that bridge was not damaged from the fire. One of the music stations shows pictures from around the world and this one of them

Good morning, the low is 47 and going to a high of 68°F. Wind N 2 mph. A mix of sun and cloud.

Mrs Igor is coming at 10ish and junior will go to the neighbours to help her put her window air conditioner in.

I am going to slightly change the way the SMV sign is installed. Just a matter of 3 zip ties. Right now I cannot get at the air filter, but after I make the change I will.

Part of my problem is my 56 year old teenager doesn't like to go to bed to sleep. He will fall asleep in front of his computer and eventually get into the bed at about 3 A.M. Then I wake him at 9 and he takes 2 hours to drag his butt out of bed.
But I gotta give him credit, he does all the cooking and washing up as well as cleaning the house and whatever I get him to help me with outside. The outside work he does ALL of the bull work once he knows what is going on.

After Mrs Igor leaves I will change the design of the SMV, then I might go to town and get more gas on the premise of a 'road test'.

M7040, Happy Birthday to your oldest boy.

Have a safe day all

I've the newer 1988 model. Works full time, usually nights, now rarely to 1 A.M.. He makes fair $$ but got in the habit of staying up to 4 A.M. online. Sometimes it takes a fair amount of parental dynamite to get him moving earlier than 3 P.M..
But Friday he will go with me to lift a couple of 160lb electric motors I bought on surplus into my Ford Escape.

Good Morning
It’s 63° with a high just over 80 and clear skies for the day.
The front that came through last night left us about 3/16” of rain. Not enough, but better than nothing.

Carpenters have been at it since before 7, they have been working until 6. That explains the rate of progress.

I don’t have a lot planned for today, I want to clean out the firebox on the smoker and load it up, I’ve got some pork shoulders and a brisket to prep and smoke. Probably do that on the weekend.
Have to move hay from the shed to the barn, probably do that early while it’s cool outside.

I’ve also got to locate a buried propane line and the conduit that runs to the generator to prepare for trenching for the sewer line and propane and generator feed to the old folks home.

The heat and lack of rain have given me a reprieve from mowing, so it might almost be a day of leisure.

Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 4:45AM. Sunshine and a few afternoon clouds. High 93F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Makes me wonder, David, if the fuel gauge isn't working, what else is malfunctioning? More hints that it is the ECU. Is there a lemon law for tractors?

Did more clean up on the back porch yesterday, and got the rest of the debris loaded into the Ford. Made it to town for errands and to pick up the U-Haul trailer. It appears to be the same one I rented last week, as it's still missing a valve stem cap on one of the tires. Got the mill loaded with only minor drama. Had help from a neighbor, who claimed he poisoned himself with too old kahlua poured over ice cream the day before. Said anything over 4 years old was no good, and the stuff that got him was twice that. I'll take his word for it.

I'm watching a tracking app some friends are using on a motorcycle trip. It's not automatic and they keep forgetting to turn it on. They were in the mountains yesterday, and two of the newer Moto Guzzi bikes lit Check Engine Lights when they came down to lower elevations. The lights went out by themselves, but it makes you wonder. They're headed to a Moto Guzzi rally today, so hopefully they can get help from fellow enthusiasts/sufferers.

Myself, I'm headed south today, another quick trip returning Saturday.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

Morning all, 68 going to 87 and the clouds are parting, got 1/2" of rain, yay.
Spent some time working on slab table, not much time available though.

Joel - good work!

Popgadget - The framing is going quick, thanks for taking us along for the ride,

LS - sorry to hear about the PT etc. Hopefully they can figure this out, you've taken their advice, now time for them to dig in and get a solution.

Did get my first pepper in. See some more starting. Plenty of small green tomatoes.

M7040 - happy birthday to son, and great he can work, must be proud.

Today might do a trip to town.

Be well,

Fawns are the usual blur of motion.

Good morning! Under a heat advisory. 78˚ before sunrise heading well into the 90s with a heat index of 110˚. No rain for the last 2 weeks. My weekly irrigation has resumed for the yard and beds around the new house. It is nice I don't have to think about the old house during these dry time today is the old house's day to water, I set the sprinkler system on auto so it should water itself if the new owner forgets. I never did get to meet them, they went to closing an hour after we did. My wife did shed a few tears leaving the old house but is quite content in the hammock under the old oak tree reading a book after a swim.

Today we get our new neighborhood ID badges with our new home information. I need to start planning everything for the afternoons and leave the cool mornings for working in the garage. The garage cabinet maker will be here in two weeks and I need to have the back walls cleared for them.

I made an executive decision to do nothing today.
Now that's my kind of thinking!! 😀 Hope it works out!

Back in Nevada-- going to 90F today. Not bad.

Amazing how keen a dog's senses are even so young. He sees, smells, and senses things in the darkness I cannot. Yesterday, I let him out at 4am. While on the lawn, he started out leisurely sniffing around, but then his body whipped around suddenly, he froze, stared into the darkness, and barked. A 10 week old pup's bark isn't very convincing but he did the best he could. That was enough for me-- we have many bears and cougars-- so I picked him up and went back in the house.

Everyone have a great day !!!

Good morning! Low was 61°, heading towards 85°. Cloudy, 70% chance of storms through this evening

A couple sprinkles already this morning, hoping for a storm to form to at least give some measurable rain. More than likely, will be an inside day.

Probably a good thing to just conserve energy today, knee is irritated by yesterday's session.

I might take this opportunity to sketch out bookcase / TV area / base cabinet combo. I was waiting for "warmer weather" to start.... well now it's hot and I have been sidetracked by the outdoor projects....

Everyone have a great day!

68°F and no rain.
Looks like a pretty day ahead.

Mowing done. Not ready to start a new round.

Going to piddle around the LS some more. Tempted to remove and clean the EGR valve, but need to figure how to get into it. Also try a manual regen. Never had a problem with the auto regen but maybe an extra run wouldn’t hurt. I did spend some time in the engine manual, but it is written in tech speak. At this point I don’t want to do anything that might be considered destructive. This was a warning from tech while he works his end. The LS diagnostic tool is a combination of Carnics communications, Laptop, and software. Not something I have or will get.

Got a couple of steaks thawing to put on grill later.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Feeling for you. I think your patience is a gift on this LS issue.

Ken, that doe looks like she is posing for you.

Mrs. Igor came 2 hours late (she did phone and reschedule), but it screwed with my game plan.
Junior is going to his quack this afternoon. So I will stay parked in front of my 'puter.
Tomorrow is the month end shopping trip in North Bay. We have a ride set up for that. $50.oo up front and $0.30/km after that. I will send the bill to the quack that got my license lifted.
