Turfcat 628 won't start when warm

Hello,

I picked up a used Turfcat 628 with a Kubota diesel motor. Low hours, very clean, well maintained.

Today I experienced that it would start when cool, but after running it for a period of time, I could not get it to restart for about 10-15 minutes if I had to turn off the motor... Almost like it had to cool down.

The battery is good. The starter is cycling. It just won't fire up until it cools down.

The temperature gauge was showing around mid-point on the dial.

Rad looks clean. I'm not sure if it's a temperature/sensor issue or a connection issue.

Any thoughts or experience from anyone?

Try starting the engine with the gas cap loosened or off and see if that helps. If it starts then the problem is likely the fuel tank vent. Just one place to start the diagnosis.
