39 outside, heading to 57. Maybe a spot of rain as a front rolls on through. Will enjoy the warmer weather while it lasts..

Today will be a run around day. Need to get some papers to the lawyers. Need to get some concrete for the Milk House floor, fuel supplies, maybe a haircut and some food stocks. Domestic stuff. LOL.

Hope all have a great day. Another week, almost over. Be safe.

Drew, you should check out some file manager apps for your phone. Most have File Sharing/Transfer options that work over WiFi and even Blue Tooth. You can set up a "share" on your computer and use the phone app to get to it. Much faster than cord connectivity.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

47.7 and rainy, going to low 60s.

got first appointment of the morning for Oul change on Mrs’ Subaru, so heading out momentarily. Got the last piece of paper for taxes, so I have to finish that up and put a bow on it and get it to the accountant.

then the rest of the day is likely energy conservation due to weather.

i hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

good morning, 37 going to 55 today cloudy

Use Milton V style high flow air couplers. Quincy air compressor tank has 1 inch ball valve shut off at the tank that I close after use and turn off breaker. When turning back on check that the pressure is still holding at 150PSI. Have made a habit of opening the ball valve drain occasionally to drain condensate.

Cody went into a seizure yesterday. Pretty scary to watch him flop dawn. Our vet just 2 miles up the road did not have a doc in the clinic so had to go to another one further away. He recovered and stumbled around for a while. Vet took blood samples and will get results in a couple of days. 400 dollar bill. Hope insurance will cover. This morning he seems fine

Morning all, 37 going to 49 and fog/mist, decent rain last night, some snow left, but not a lot.
Bed disassembled and replacement arrives tomorrow, hopefully the 3 boxes showing up will have all full size and not part Queen size ! 2 boxes say Full, one did not have size, but it seems that one is the problem child.

Anybody want some vinyl covered wood pieces from a bed frame, brand new?

Hope Cody is ok, very scary to not know what happened.

Be well,

Bed as it looks now:

Good Morning!!!! 43F @ 5:00AM. A mix of clouds and sun during the morning will give way to cloudy skies this afternoon. High 67F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

Maybe someone else will ask, Helogabals, but what will keep the front of the trailer from rocking up into the air when the tractor is backed off of it?

Per my previous internist, KJC, two drops of olive oil in the ear at bed time will soften wax to the point where it will come out when flushed with warm water in the shower. It took a couple of nights for me, but it did eventually work. So did the fancy ultrasonic cleaner he had the nurse use on me, but it was not a comfortable procedure.

I've had good luck with Anker brand USB power supplies, Randy.

I found the "For All Mankind" series pretty realistic when it came to Moon and Mars manned exploration, Drew...

Smooth trip north yesterday, with one notable exception. There was a huge pothole on I5 about half way, and the bang it made when I hit it with the van had me checking the tire pressure monitors for the leak. No leak, and no bulges or hot spots at the next gas stop, either. But I'll be watching for that sucker on the next trip north.

Trying to decide if I want to flip this trip around quickly and take advantage of the next three days of dry weather to move the milling machine south. U-Haul says they have a drop gate 6x12 trailer that'll take the load, so I just have to line up some help on the other end for unloading. Or maybe this trip I'll take the lathe in the box trailer, and kind of sneak up on it. I worry about getting up the hill on the gravel driveway, and I worry about getting down the two mountain passes on the trip. So far everything's worked OK, but I don't think I've had a load close to 2500 lbs yet.

TGIF gang!

Good morning! 51˚F, North wind, sunny skies, heading to the mid 70s.

A cool down from yesterdays mid 80s temps. Planted 64 potato seeds, hope to get an average of three potatoes per seed that will keep us supplied till Fall.

Bank, Potatoes, PT and Cards made for a full day yesterday, today it will be Duluth, Costco, and cards at the neighbors. The drip iggigation is on the potatoes so I don't have to depend on the rainfall. I have it dripping every 12 hours for 15 minutes. If we ever have a good rain I turn it off for a few days.

RNG I was thinking the same thought on Helo's trailer.

Good Morning Guys,
Vt, 32 to start going to 45 ! Uncanny for this time of year here ! We got in about 8:30 last night , long drive at night but not much traffic ! Sitting in front of the wood stove trying to get it going again ! Seems as I get older, I’m not a fan of long night trips ! But Kathleen was watching 2 grands yesterday’ so we got a late start !

Plans for today is get the shop warmed up later and get some work done out there !

Kyle, hope back starts to feel better !

David, curious how you make out with mower and tractor !

Kilroy, at the top of the pole are fuses, or circuit breaker, I have seen the linemen pull those when at MVA with the FD ! What the thing on the side is , no idea !
Maybe like PopG said , some type of lightning protection!

Making a brekky BLT and it struck me.
The old saying, "living high on the hog" has lost it's meaning.
Originally belly/bacon meat was the cheap stuff. The higher cuts were the expensive parts.
Now I can buy a pork loin for as little as $1.49 (rarely) $2 to $3 all the time and more if you go to the higher end grocers.
Bacon starts at $5 a package which is less than a pound and a local deli has it for $13 for double smoked ready to eat.
So I guess having my BLT I'm living low on the hog.
Mmmmmm! BACON!

   / Good morning!!!! #186,373
Hope if you decide to get one, you find a good one.
Thanks Kyle. I appreciate that.

Its bittersweet to search for a puppy after losing your best friend. We found a top quality breeder who introduces puppies to bird retrieval and waterfowl hunting. I'm not (yet) a hunter but maybe it is another dimension to interact with a future "best friend." We have a phone interview with them tomorrow.

32F, going to a sunny warm 62F here in Formerly-Great California.

Got the surgical staples out yesterday. Surgeon said the magic words: "Goodbye!" Glad that is behind me.

I hope everyone recovers from the many bugs and illnesses circulating out there. Everyone have a great day!

Good morning, the low is 30 and going down to a high of 19°F. Wind NNW 23 gusting to 30 mph. 30% chance of snow flurries.

Wow, I sure slept in this morning. Went to bed at midnight, up at 4 for a P, back to bed and up at 8. It is a wonder that the cats weren't lined up at my doorway stomping a foot on the floor...they usually get their dry food at 5 A.M. They get dry food from the morning through the day and then wet food about 10 P.M.

I am going to get after my employer this morning about my T-4 (1099 to you Americans), that is the last thing I need to chuck all the paperwork in a box for the accountant. After the T-4 I need to make motel reservations for Wed., Thurs., and Friday April 10 through 13th.
Spring startup meetings are a P.I.T.A. but they have to be done.

I talked to the foreman that I have been hauling to for the past 20 years or so and he told me that we've got a haul from Thunder Bay to 100 miles north of Pickle Lake, about 450 miles north of P.L., will take about 10 hours one way and no truck stops after Ignace, ON. There is a job up there that is 25 miles long. I told him that I would be willing to help out on that haul, BUT I would not be spending my whole summer up there. It is time for some of the junior guys to step up to the plate. It IS a good go, you can easily make $40 TO 50 grand in 4 months plus your per diem ($70.oo per night room and board) which is tax free.

Ron, your tree rat is looking real healthy.

My Sennheiser HD569 headphones work real good for me. Not only do I listen to movies and youtube on them but I also use them when I am on the phone.

Have a safe day all

Cody went into a seizure yesterday.
That is such a scary thing to witness. And-- you are helpless to do anything except provide comfort.

Our beautiful Golden Retriever we just lost had a first seizure at age 5. Before that, never had a dog that had a seizure. Long story short, after some additional seizures, we put him on a low dose of twice-daily phenobarbital. Since it was low dosage we did not observe any change in behavior or personality-- but it eliminated 95% of the seizures for the next 3 1/2 years we had him.

Good luck to you-- hope for the best!

62°F and .51 inches rain

A couple of distractions and scag not quite together.

Planned chicken curry morphed into pork curry, but delicious anyway.

Guys took a pleasant beating from the gals in H&F.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I was going to have some guys help me tomorrow to take the cover off the rv
but no go, still too much snow up there. It's melting fast but will be a few more days.
instead, made appt to see Verizon phone guy in Lahaska at 10am tomorrow, likely to get an
I15 pro. Not the max. Not sure about internal storage as I'm roped into using Icloud or whatever it is.
you don't want to pay twice...

currently I have a model 12, am guessing the new one is a little larger.
I use it as a phone, not an internet device, though I guess I'll get dragged into that
somewhat kicking and screaming. I'm told I should be streaming free music off my phone into the car
and rv. Ok. Actually I'm a Sirius XM guy, like my six presents and happily zip around in them.
And I pay for that in the car, not the rv.
Since I have wifi in the rv, not hard for me to log in to Pandora on my laptop and play free music that way.
not sure I need connectivity with my phone.

I did finally get the password reset on my Iphone, which I have had for years never using the apps,
because now I really need to be able to access Uber for traveling. Never done it, but will try once I get a new phone.
actually got the app up on this one. They keep offering me 30 free bucks in food delivery, but then it gets into
more marketing and of course they want money.

pork curry sounds mighty good David.
depends upon the recipe, but you can get a lot of flavor with curry
with not much spice and way less need for all the sugar that is in
normal barbecue sauce. Most barbecue sauce has a lot of sugar in it.
yummy but far from being health food.

good cooks know how to make their own...while I look for the bottle with low sugar

David, I bet using local pineapple juice as part of a barbecue sauce would be good, get your
sweetness from that. Just go over and pick it.
Pineapple has good fiber also I believe.
and I think it tenderizes meat really well.
handy thing to grow!

Curry powders usually consist of turmeric, cumin, ginger, and black pepper.
Turmeric is generally good for you, so is ginger, cumin is a strong flavor,
I'm visualizing/tasting the different flavors and I don't come up with curry...
though I love black pepper so perhaps part of the appeal to me.
there are a wide variety of curries I've never tried. I sure don't like the real hot stuff.

I did almost two whole flats this morning and now my back is unhappy from all the standing and bending over the kitchen sink.
Thankfully completed that without making a big mess, and cleaned it all up.
I vacuum a lot...

with the snow melt safer to walk back to greenhouse
I want a sunny 50 degree day so I can take trays of flowers outside to lay flat on
my portable flower holder aka trailer. I think they need more sun
