Good (Saturday) late arvo. Overnight Low of 9.6C and it's presently 30C (down from 33.2C when I arrived home from the meeting at Ross). It's clear with a strong breeze.

As I mentioned, I had a meeting in Ross this morning. I left at 0800, got there by 1005 and the meeting concluded by 1230. Home by 1410 and had a quick lunch... that's about it for the day. I've 'battened down the hatches' (curtains closed) to keep the arvo/evening sun/temperatures down and keep the house as cool as I can. No, I don't bother with AC as these days only occur a couple of times a year down here.

Take care all.

Poured first cup of coffee. 26° with clouds this morning. Heading to 38° with mostly sunny skies. Got a good bit of sunshine yesterday afternoon. Switch for backup light showed up in mail. Completed wiring for backup lights on Mule. FedEx delivered weight box for Mule. Had to get tractor out to move it from front of house to pole barn. Not fun unpacking a 100+ lbs package. Neighbor was washing cars. So I took tractor over for a wash job. Need to get back at cleaning up limbs from last 2 storms today.
Taking in some sunshine.

Mostly, could not listen to the music for full video. Maybe I had volume to high.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

26° now, highs in the mid 30’s and sunny this morning, cloudy in afternoon with winds NNW 10-15 mph, gusts 20+.

No Wally trip yesterday, went to lunch with Mrs had fish and chips, good feed.

Other than the usual dump run, nothing planned for today.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

good morning all
nice lights Ron, looks like they should help a lot, looks stock (y)

should be a nice sunny day here, finally, highs in mid 40's
hoping my friend comes over to help me build the greenhouse this morning.
maybe he is remembering our last attempt, at that storage shed...:cautious:

made a good meat loaf last night, kind of grew on me, will make a lot of dinners, have half already
frozen. the pork with chorizo in it gave the whole thing a yummy flavor, not hot, just flavor. Store meat loaf mix,
plus ground turkey, a pound of lean free range burger, and chorizo sausage, lots of Pepperidge farm stuffing, garlic and onions.
with some ground seasoned bread crumbs on top to hold in the juices. Usually I dump a lot of corn and mushrooms in, but had none.
i was surprised to still find pink inside when thermometer said 185 degrees but that's perfect for reheating.
I eat the ends first anyway. it was like meat candy, fairly lean, little fat on the bottom.
still think it's better with corn and mushrooms but always good to try something different.

hope you all have a nice weekend.

28 hopping up to 49. Nice and clear and starry.

Real nice job on the Mule, Ron.

Wife still at hospital with her mom.

Finished first set of taxes and financial statements...will do final review today. Turbo Tax said the IRS had not published some final code, not expected until 2/16. So, guess I'll research if any of it may affect this.

Just made a long list of to-dos since I've gotten behind this week. My ankle is good enough to get started on most of it. One thing is to put up new bluebird boxes...most of mine are worn out, and I have no cedar boards left...just about as cheap to order ones ready for assembly, so I ordered 3...each one from a different company...will do a comparo. I'll ask the bluebirds to do one, too.

Buppies, hope you are feeling even better.

Scotty, are you about to say goodbye to the warm weather?

   / Good morning!!!! #185,252

I've been there. I bought a 2" foam pad a year ago to use, especially at the woodstove...like Kyle said about his fireplace. But I usually can't push up from the stovetop.

Last night I tried to get AI to create a funny addition to this photo showing a tractor FEL lifting you up under your butt...but I failed, so you'll just have to use your imagination.

   / Good morning!!!! #185,253
20F partly cloudy sky might reach 30F.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...finish working on blower motor this morning...again 🙄 this a this afternoon not sure.

Enjoy your day all.

Good morning! 54˚F heading to the upper 60s, with a west wind and plenty of sunshine. Our big 2 day rain event produced only .2" of rain. Today is a much better day to mop out the garage and maybe prepare the garden for potato planting with my EGO tiller. I still need to get some suffer to dust the potatoes after cutting them.

Edit: sulfur to dust the cut potatoes

Good morning, the low is 15 and going to a high of 32°F. Wind N 1 mph. Sunny!

I know what it is like trying to get up after being on your knees tending a wood stove. I use a wooden chair with the back cut off to sit in front of the stove. That works good for me.

I read in here that someone had some 'chirping' coming from one of their wheels. You need to check out the pads on your brakes. There is a little tab attached to the backing plate of the pad (used to be brake shoe when we had drum brakes) and when your pads get down close to the replacement stage this little tab will make contact with the rotor and set off a chirp, chirp sound. It saves the rotors, which aren't cheap.

The backup lights on the mule look good!

Your tree rats are posing for you Ron.

I won't be doing much today. Just take it as it comes.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning Guys ,
56 to start going to 75 ! Another sunny day but I think our weather is about to change ! Sounds like some showers coming in tomorrow and Monday ! Hopefully they are wrong !
Scotty, are you about to say goodbye to the warm weather?
Wngsprd, we are here until Thursday morning, so 15 days total ! It’s going by very quickly ! But looking at the weather up in New England, spring might be coming early ! Most of the snow in Vermont has melted and the Ct weather doesn’t look bad when we get back either !
Kathleen’s birthday is today, it’s a big one, but I’m guessing she doesn’t want it repeated ! 😂 But you guys know how old I am and she is a little younger than me by 2 years and a few months ! 😉

Prayers for Missy ! 🙏

Hope all have a blessed day ! 🙏

Good morning !

For beginning - thaw. Don't like it, but at least heat pumps are back at reasonable consumption. For January total consumption is ~ 4500 kWh. It's everything, including cars. Bill should be ~ 1 kWh X 0.2€ = .... I don't know jet exactly as I am buying electricity from pool

To be frank, it's not like HP owners only suffered. Sister has burned record quantity of pellets, neighbors with gas also has burned a lot, etc

good morning

41 going to 45 no rain or snow in the Fc for the next week or so

Overflow over the berm on the pond finally stopped

D's Latvia trip continues to evolve. Hope she can still find time to meet Helo

Sometimes neighbors can be such jerks... When I lived in city there was sooo much conflicts with next door neighbor. More specific - her teenage son.
My sweetest moment was, when lady was away and that boy organized party. I called on them municipal police, as there were teens consuming alcohol and smoking. Police arrived instantly, called parents of every kid there etc 😁

Now in village is completely different story. Really nice dudes around. Mostly 😁

Unfortunately didn't make it with D. When she had a choice either to meet our president either me, she choose president. I can't blame her 😁
But in her place I would have traded some boring conference to afternoon in restaurant. She didn't. And that is exactly the reason why I am not making career in govt structures 🤣 And she is performing very well

Wish that bloodbath ended, but if it continues as it is now, D will have to come again here in May. Frankly that's much better to have some fun. Hope she will have some extra time then

Helo, glad to see you posting! That is one nice shop! I bet you are glad to see more progress!

Everyone have a great day!

Thanks !
yesterday was really exiting moment, when after playing all day on PC, lamps finally started to cast light. So long to plan, put them in place, make set-up. And yeah, finally. ☀️

Only 2 lamps have some issues with that smart management. Lamps are DALI and HCL. With those DALI drivers are some issues. I mean - minor things

Happy New Year ! ;)

I was looking on exactly the same. Really useful thing. for example - few weeks back customer of mine have burned main switch on sanding machine. 320 A. Problem was - contact with alu cable came loose....
Normally all machines has to be checked with such camera 2 X year. Electric cabinet, bearings, etc.
If that guy would have done that, he would have spared week halt + 2k € bill on parts. Actually he should consider himself lucky. Fire in woodworking shop rarely is so cheap
Flir is good brand. I already have some expensive but $h%^ camera, can't overcome myself and threw it out and get myself a decent Flir

Helogabals, thanks for coming back. I enjoy your posts, and you have many interesting aspects to your life. That is enough wire for a skyscraper!
Thanks !
Yeah, sometimes life here can be interesting
Either to me it's interesting to see, how you guys are holding up. I have to confess, never have been in US. But have a great interest to do this.
It's not worth to do like my typical EU trips - 2 .. 3 ... 4 days. To go to US first have to find 3 week slot, etc.

Now have to finish my "skyscraper". 😁 meanwhile should cool down your political situation. :) will see

Whenever one of those Herons show up at my garden pond. The number of fish in pond gets lower.
Everyone have a good day!!!

28F headed to 41F here in Beautiful Northern Nevada.

Doc opened me up yesterday, patched things up, went perfect.

Wife drove me home to Nevada through snow, ice, heavy traffic, spinouts, chain controls, and complete shutdowns of I-80 several times. Took almost 10 hours but got home safely.

Ron, I found this pix on trail camera-- was surprised at the size of the fish it took.

Re blue Herons and ponds. There is a small round cylindrical (usually lead) object with a pointy end on it that will take care of the Heron IF you can hit it
Thanks!

I have heard rumors that river otters also attract the pointy thingy!! 😀
