I'd take 2 of my smaller saws (rather have agility than power), 4 extra chains and a good file.

Once you get going, you'll figure out if it makes sense to have a second person on the pile to hook things up (so you never have to set the saw down)
Preliminarily, Gonna have a helper up on RR bridge sharpening saws and lowering them down to me on a rope. Probably bring a ladder and be able to climb up/down.

My dealer told me over the phone they would discount Echo 15%.

Any job worth doing is worth buying a new toy - er tool for.
Even better if you can include it in the bid price.
Better yet if you can get a light saw that gets woods ported with a muffler mod.

This is a job that says "I should treat myself"

I always found that I don’t need a reason to buy toys…..

I been known to make a reason.....
I’m going to assume you’re married, so I understand but I’m not so I don’t have to make reasons!

You may want to try and pull a log before you cut. Extra leverage helps in many situations

I think I will be able to walk out, or climb down a ladder from RR bridge and begin cutting.

Honestly, my biggest concerns are
1. dropping saw in water
2. chains dulling quickly because of silt in logs.
I guess I mis-understood, I thought you said that the RR said no access and no working from the bridge, but if that has changed it does nothing but help your cause.

No access with cranes, trucks, equipment.
A guy walking out there with a rope, ladder, etc they are not going to say much.

Sorry for cornfusion.
