Tractor
Kubota L4740 sold. As of Jan 2023 I have a new L2502.
Bought a new kubota L2502 tractor. Did two hours worth of work. I checked the transmission dipstick. The level was below the low level line. Pretty sure it is leaking. I previously had a lot of service trouble with the dealership. Peaved off.

Tomorrow when it opens they are going to here it maybe even tell them to come pick the tractor up and cancel my contract.

How old is it? How many hours only two?

Good luck with that

its normal to top off fluids after a few hours of use. a small tractor like this doesnt hold much. it is spread out into bucket lines, etc. just top it off.

if it was leaking you would see the puddles.

If you had previous problems with this dealership why did you purchase another item from them?

Like others have said not unusual to have to top off transmission on new tractor especially ones with small reservoir.

I have changed oil in mine 3 times since new and have had to add around quart to half gallon every time after operating for hour or so.

Should be called “Bad Owner” lol. What does “ pretty sure it’s leaking” mean? It’s leaking or it’s not. A big oil puddle would mean it’s leaking. If nothing underneath….it needs topping up. It’s new and all fluid/oil levels could settle and NEED to be checked regularly from now until it’s replaced with a new tractor. Then start the cycle over again or hire someone to do the work for you…
Let us know what happens when you contact the dealer if you dare 😬

I honestly doubt we’ll ever hear from this guy again…..

Not so sure, since he has over 1000 posts and been a member over 10 years.

That said, top the new machine oil levels off.
Park it on a clean area and verify whether oil leakage is actually happening.

Glad you took the time to bounce the idea off your faithful brethren here.

Like others have said, are you nutty? Fill the damn thing up and make sure it’s not leaking.

I took the step back. Dealership came through with the fixes. Tractor is working perfect.
