My wife had Christian Medishare to avoid the o-penalty. O-"care" is simply socialized healthcare, inversely proportionate to one's income, so the poor pays the least.
She got a newsletter every so often where CM paid some or all of someone's medical expenses. IMHO it was "loosey-goosey", nothing clear-cut about benefits. She paid them about 4 years about $300-$400/month.
