Boston tops them all!
Got to agree with that for the US.
Decades ago a group of us from the Army Lab at Ft. Belvoir used to fly into Boston frequently for work and rent a car to drive up to New Hampshire. We were amazed at the number of cars that showed evidence of minor fender benders. Broken tailights, creased fenders, dented bumpers.
Looked like the cars came from a bumper car venue at the fair.
Almpst as bad a Seoul.

Hate driving in Boston. So many lanes, all packed and everyone trying to change lanes since the one next to them is obviously moving faster

Edison NJ is one of the places I dread, many newly licensed older drivers and lots of accidents.
Many with people driving under the rear of trucks, changing lanes via the touch, don't look methods.
Some driving 20, some 80 and trying to occupy the same lane.

Then their are the ones who lose their mind and start doing super aggressive driving.
Rarely a day goes by without a major accident on route 1.

good morning, 62 going to 69 and rain has started

Have not mounted snow chains the last couple years. Seems we get less snow than in years past
Have a tool that grabs the ends and hold in position that makes it easier to connect tighter.

Looks like an indoor day
No snow to speak of last winter. You just never know. Since I now have the BX with a snow blade and chains, I might just put them on. Course it's much warmer pushing snow with the cab tractor, even if I have to use the bucket.

50F and cloudy @ 15:00, with a slight chance of a rain shower. Looks like it's mostly off to the south and east. Did see water dripping off the roof, unsure whether it's just residual or whether it's still coming down.

Caught the last couple episodes of "Alone: Million Dollar Challenge" last night, where the participants were required to survive (individually, on their own) for 100 days in the Canadian wilderness during the fall/winter season. They were dropped off on September 18th on the eastern arm of Great Slave Lake.

The coldest it got was into the minus 30F's overnight ... with some of the day time temps in the minus 20F's ...

Quite the challenge, with very limited resources and equipment.

Lake trout, whitefish, rabbit, musk ox, and porcupine were on the menu.

If it isn't raining, I may venture out and attempt to get a few more plants in the ground. Low chances for rain until around 20:00.

On closer inspection, yeah it's definitely wet out there ... so I think I'll pass on any strawberry planting for now.

Looks like a lot of the maple leaves are down at this point, this next little cold snap ought to bring most of the rest of them down except for the oaks:

The beige Rubbermaid stool down towards the fair end of the garden marks how far I've gotten with the strawberry planting.

Supposed to warm up to the upper 50's again by next Saturday/Sunday ... so probably work on moving those last 56 strawberry plants into the basement for next few days to avoid the little cold snap that's coming.

Woman has finally made some progress on mulching the flower bed:

... after I told Her to quit worrying about getting the entire thing weeded first and instead just get a section weeded thoroughly and then mulched ...

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday ! ... (y)

Good morning! Low was 31°, been holding at 33° for the last 4 hours. Supposed to hit a high of 45°. Heavy wet fog now, chances for a few showers, then snow showers this evening..... may get up to an inch.

Low tonight dropping to 16° and a 30% chance of snow showers. Highs only in the 40's until Thursday, then into the 50's.

Leaves finally turning colors on all the trees, there were a couple 'early', but that was strange....

Then my favorite.... drywall ---- NOT! There is just something about drywall that I don't like.... can't tell what, just one of those things....
The son and GS will do all the lifting, so maybe I might start to like it better! 😁 ;)😁
I think my next house will have tongue and groove wood siding on the walls. My drywalling days about over.

Tongue and groove goes up faster easier and looks better if sheathed with something first.

Fifth day after surgery bruises. The bandaid above the incision was a robot access hole, has 7 staples. And another hole below the incision. I’ll ask the doctor next week if the robot attached itself to the bone.

As the swelling goes down at night when sleeping the fluid goes through the bladder so I have to get up to p around 5 times per night. I know too much information but just letting Check know what is expected. Oh one more bit of helpful advise. For after surgery constipation and to sleep better eat 2 kiwis a day.
