let's talk exhausts, old school exhausts
I think the pipes on the truck look silly, too long, cut them back, put tips on them,etc
BUT, was this a 50's thing? Is it actually more period correct to have the long tips? They certainly weren't stock.

I was a sixties kid, not a fifties...

would you change them?
already has glasspacks (quiet) so nothing is stock here

the oem lights were a piece of art deco

My neighbors are similar. With 3” x 10” extensions. Stick out about 4” past rear bumper. He needs that size for 350 ci Chevy engine and drivetrain.
Red car and red trees. What else could you ask for. A happy family.

Good morning, the low is 41 and going to a high of 45°F. Wind N 13 gusting to 23 mph. A few showers.

I might get at the tarp today, the shed is protected from the North wind by a stand of trees.
If I don't get to the tarp, I can always set up the remotes for the block heaters.

Tractor is all set up for winter. back blade is on and the V plow too. It doesn't look pretty, but as long as it does the job, that is all that matters.

Got caught in the rain when string trimming under the pecans yesterday. By the time I trotted to the barn, I was soaked...good hard downpour. Got my porch firewood rack loaded up earlier, so ready for cold weather.

the fun part is the truck is old enough he can do whatever he wants.
the last guy did an amazing restoration/modding more than ten years ago, and now
the next guy gets to personalize it.
They might make a rod out of it.
Ford 300 straight six? Coyote? Godzilla?
I suggested due to age they start at something on the lower end.
or turn it into an EV

I also suggested three point seat belts and better more modern tires.
Those white walls are pretty amazing though. Bet those Coker tires or wherever they are from
are terrible in the rain.

Good Morning
55 and going all the way to 60 today.
Chance of rain this morning, becoming partly cloudy later.

Yesterday was productive in the shop, everything is glued up, the edges will all get flush trimmed today, bracing will all get cut as well as the holes and recess’ for the handle and jackplate.
Built the crossovers while glue was curing, still have to build the jackplates and wire them to the crossovers.

If it doesn’t rain this morning I hope to mow after some quality time in the shop, that will let me leak check the new hydraulic hoses on the progressive mower.

Just read an article saying that Avgas won’t be going away anytime soon, they are struggling to find an unleaded 100 octane replacement.
