Our journey with Alaska began in the fall of 2022 when we shared a sip of Holler Mountain at their offices in Seattle, WA. From there, we began considering the guest experience at 30,000 feet and created a blend that's fit for the skies. Did you know your taste buds behave differently at high altitude?

Interesting, especially when you consider that the cabin on an airliner doesn’t get above 8000 feet. It can stay at sea level into the middle 20’s.

Good (Thursday) evening. Overnight Low of 11C, daytime High of 18C (wind-chill made it 13C) and it's presently 17.8C. Some gusty wind in the arvo with the odd shower.

Firstly, apologies for having to 'skip' everyone's postings from yesterday up to now. As to my day's it's practically the same as the day before manning the pre-poll station. This will all be over by Saturday evening (@ 1800)... and then the counting begins. We'll know the results, pretty much, later that evening.

In the meantime, I've got a booth assistant now who is staying with me in one of my spare bedrooms. It's a great relief to have him. I continue to get along 'famously' with the 'opposition'.

That's about it, take care all.
You mean it won’t take six weeks to count???

Amazing.

Good morning! 67˚F, partly cloudy, south breeze heading to the mid 80s.
Buppies the estate sale is not an auction, each item is priced so it's more like a whole house garage sale.
Kilroy check in at noonish to pick a drill, if any, if I can load the pics with my phone.
Thank you! I may or may not be in The Valley Of No Cell Signal midday…

49 outside this AM. Expecting low 70's today.

Running behind on lots of projects and whatnot.

On Walnuts, there is English and Black. What you see in the store is mostly English. Easier to crack. But, not as healthy as Black. We have Black Walnuts on the property. Just yesterday I gave away three grocery bags full of them, with husks, to a friend. That's from one tree, and it still has about 1/2 way more to drop. They pose a danger walking under them, rolling your footing, getting bopped in the head. Not kidding. The squirrels move them all over the place, another fun fact. They end up in the weirdest places. Tube of satellite dish, engine compartments, barn and outbuilding walls, Milk House attic..... and yes, they are hard as all.

A nuance tree IMHO. Around the house anyway. The husks are messy to deal with too. And anything under the tree does not do too well. The decomposing husk is rather toxic to grasses.

On the lighter side, if you have a lot of time on your hands, they are pretty tasty. A good 2X6 with a nice hole it it and a hammer works well. Wear gloves and eye protection.

Time to tend to the animals and get the equipment ready for pasture and fence line maintenance.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Good Morning
41 going to the upper 60’s and sunny today.

I made good speaker progress yesterday morning before heading out to the airport.

This one just needs the woofer, grill and protective corners before it’s ready to ship.

Had a nice trip to the Vineyard via Ogdensburg, the lead passenger was a senior at St. Lawrence University that I have flown since she was an infant. She is a wonderfully nice person, as are her parents and sister, that’s part of what makes me continue to do this instead of retiring.

Started the airport authority meeting by calling into the zoom version while driving home from the airport. Finished the meeting in person.

Today is another day with nice people, taking them to Palm Beach, we won’t have a special blend of coffee for them. Actually, passengers usually bring their own Starbucks or similar any more.

Hopefully be home in time to finish at least one speaker today and ship it tomorrow. The other one will be ready for Saturday.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly…).

54.7F going to low 70’s sunny day.

weather guessers screwed up last night, intermittent passing showers between 8 and midnight turned into steady heavy rain from 2am until ten minutes ago… so work at the woodlot today will not include excavator or firewood. Instead, I got one bundle of insulation into the cabin shed, and today will be paneling the insulated wall with poplar boards I milled in the spring.

I also got a bunch of the tools from my uncle up to the work shed, and cleaned and organized the workbench, which had devolved into utter chaos over the last couple months. So now it will take me another two months to figger out where everything lives again…

coffee is calling… I must answer!

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe productive blessed day!

good morning, 48 going to 70 today

Wife got her vaccinations yesterday and she is in a lot pain not because of the shots but because of not taking some of her meds for two weeks to give the vaccinations time to work.

Picked up groceries and saved 120 dollars. Stocked up on a few items

Stacked some more wood yesterday hoping to do a little more of that today

We have many old black walnut trees here that drops a carpet of walnuts. Bast to drive over them not to trip or get hurt
