While drinking coffee this am, I was trying to figure out what project I wanted to work on..... a buddy called and said he was coming over with his track loader and pond rake. That solved that figuring out.

So, I rushed out, and got the tractor fired up so that I could trim around the pond. The pond is very low due to the drought. I haven't mowed in months. Only real green is weeds, and around the pond. These weeds are normally covered in water. I wish they'd die.

While mowing around the pond, I saw some critters. Find the critter.

Here's my buddy pulling weeds off of the pond bank. I nearly stuck our bigger MFWD tractor. Good thing I had the FEL on it to "inchworm" back. I wasn't too worried, because I knew buddy was almost over, and he could've pulled me out.

Harness repair may prove easier than expected. Able to get into almost workable position. Hopefully I can clean well. Have some Liquid Electrical tape that should do the trick.

Was busy 4 hours at work...whew,quick lunch took trimmer for nice walk follow by bouncing rider mower 2 1/2 hours...by back pockets are dragging.

Plans for the evening other than holding recliner down nothing!!!

Drew, the wifey says the mums are beautiful! ..... now your giving her ideas and possibly more work for me!

Got the new deck almost done.... just the deck. Tomorrow will get to start staining the open rafters for the roof. Hopefully will get some put up.
But, need to do 3 posts and a beam for them to rest on first.....

Just keep chipping away at it..... I can't believe how much of a setback the knee has caused me.... just a few years ago, I would have been done already. That's ok, I really enjoy building, this slow pace has taken my enjoyment level to another level!......

Thank you, it's about 2 acres, has 2 tributaries and because of that, it has 3200 feet of waterline when full. It's about 4' down right now. The part in the video is heavily silted in and not deep at all. The silt at that end might be 3' thick. We don't swim in it for that reason.

Yes, but the fishing out your back door is priceless!

Most of the farm ponds have dried up out this way. The ranchers are trucking water to fill stock tanks. Even a lot of the windmill filled stock tanks are dry....

Found a box of assorted bavarian pretzels at Costco yesterday.... we're gonna sample some of 'em tonight. I really miss the soft pretzels sold back in philly.....

At one point, I looked into getting a couple dozen shipped out here... only around $20 for them.... and $75 for shipping!!! ---- that's not gonna happen.....
