20' x 20' storage shed recommendations

For a kit type..... try these guys. I know of a few posters that have them, and I'm watching a guy a couple miles away putting up a Versa tube high (14') garage for an RV. The kits can be ordered with many options.

I HAD one of those. Put up by the prior owner of my house in Mississippi. Cheap guy.
Two major failings due to being so cheap -
1. He had the "standard roof", with the corrugations running parallel to the ground, instead of the "vertical" roof.
2. He spanned 40' without any interior or front vertical support.
February of 2021 we had back to back ice storms without melt, it collapsed. I watched it and caught it on video.

Are you really sure you only want a 20' x 20' building?

My shed, is split into 2 sections, 1 enclosed, 1 just carport. The enclosed is 16x24, and the carport part is 12x24. I park the mower, tractor, SxS, and grill under the car port part. It is barely large enough. The enclosed part also has concrete floor, partial insulation,


Guess what I'm saying is, 20 ft x 20 ft is pretty small

Oh yeh. My current one needing replacing is 16x20, and it's plenty big for what I store in it. I got a Lifetime plastic shed out front, 15x8, that's where my mower and other stuff lives.

I have a 20x30 versatube. Only regret is I wish it was 25x35. Pontoon boat and a RV is a tight squeeze.

Size - draw out your gear, walk paths, etc. - and increase all by 50%

Agreed, they get small real quick. We put up a car port 20x24x8 and it was full immediately, before we were completed with it We bought just the frame /roof kit and used local material for the sides and one end.

with them check to price very closely, i had a chance to help my neighbor put one up before i made my decision and I did not like the end result of the kit. in the end i liked the installed building better than the DIY kit and the cost was about the same.

I did not like the segmented construction they use to get it to ship cheaply.

The price of steel just about doubled from 2019 to 2021.

and to all you groaners out there I realize that it's rebar, but the price of all steel goes along.
Anyways the companies jacked the prices up in many 10% and 20% price hikes since 2019 and have only come down a smidgen.

yes i have noted that also the price goes up immediately but is slow to come back down.
