There is actually very little Ag vehicle specific law in New Zealand, and with the beuaraucratic processes invlved, people in the know are keeping quiet in case things get truely stufffed up. So currently truck regs' are being force fitted if they are used.

a good friend of mine has been riding motorcycles for about 47 years and never went down onto the road for any reason but guess what 4 days ago he had the misfortune of being in the wrong place at the wrong time and a very distracted driver side swiped him at an intersection and he went down brand new bike look’s like and old bike now thankfully he as well as his passenger were not seriously injured and the other driver left the scene

Thankfully that couple weren't seriously hurt. The bike is replaceable. You cannot compare these two issues at all. When driving a tractor you are in control of the situation. When riding a motorcycle your life depends on knowing your surroundings and the idiots on the roadways. I also ride a motorcycle and know damn well that my life depends on keeping an eye out for the stupid idiots out there texting, speeding, running red lights and pulling out in front of you. I too have never been down yet.
