That our situation right now too. A new brush fire starts around here every day and sometime 2 or 3 ! CDF is awesome about attacking these fires with everything they got that means hand crews hiking in under blazing 100 degree temps and lots of air drops of water and Phos-Chek. One or 2 got big = 5-8k acres. HUGE fire burning at the CA/NV border... approaching 100k acres of brush.It's never too hot to mow, but unless things are well irrigated, there is, "it's too dry to mow." More than one wildfire has been sparked by the spinning blade of a rotary mower sparking against a rock.
I take the mower off the tractor in June and won't use it again until after a good soaking rain.
