Thanks, both of you. 10-4 on the organic compounds. The inorganic magnesium salts have a very low absorption rate. Like @ponytug states above, stay with "any of the organic salt forms."

Magnesium Oxide: Benefits, Side Effects, Dosage, and Interactions
Magnesium oxide is a common form of the important mineral magnesium. This article tells you all you need to know about magnesium oxide.www.healthline.com
I was hoping to get some recommendations on which type of Magnesium would be best for me, along with a proper dosage. I recently bought Magnesium Malate tablets after doing some research online (which I can no longer find!), but I’ve learned that this may not be the ideal form for MS-related issues. I’ve heard about Magnesium Citrate (which was recommended to me yesterday) and Magnesium Threonate, but I’m feeling a bit confused about what’s best. Currently, I’m taking Gabapentin for restless leg syndrome, which seems to be working well. I’ve heard that Magnesium, particularly the spray form, can also be helpful for that. However, since Gabapentin is already helping with my legs, I’d like to take Magnesium for its other benefits. My legs tend to cramp a lot, especially since I’ve started working from home due to the lockdown, so I’m hoping Magnesium, combined with exercise, might help with that too. Thanks for the responses and 411 guys !
Agreed, most of the population is running Mg deficient..... Potassium is the other biggie, worthy of its own thread.....
I use Mg Citrate normally. Supply up here has been good (knock wood). Costco stocks a Canadian mfg Webber, and they are distributed elsewhere up here too, not sure about south of 49'th.
Had a recommendation recently on the Malate... my Achilles heel is located in my lower back-muscles, so will try it myself too, but the better-half is having leg muscle issues lately, call Wellamoon customer service for more insights.
Range of function (for these basic compounds) in the body is impressive..... as I've joked @ physio (back muscles).... Why don't these bodys come with Owner's Manuals ? (But had to agree with the response - Nobody would read them ! Esp. guys !)
