65 outside this AM, heading to mid 80's. Getting a taste of Fall these past few mornings.
Nothing on the agenda today, just busy stuff.
Contractors stopping by for looks and ideas on plumbing to and from Milk House.
ZTR coming back. I took the bushhog to parts of the back yesterday. Hope to finish reclaiming the lawns and pastures by this w/e. So far with this repair, the dealer has been really good. My original dealer of my equipment went out of business. I am fortunate to have at least five other Kubota dealers within two hours of me. This one sold us the RTV some 20+ years ago. Not a bad turn around time in the middle of grass season for a mower repair. Kept me up on status and parts.
Should be an interesting day. Hope all fare well today. Be safe. The weekend is upon us.

Good Morning
65 going to 77 under overcast skies with rain likely today.
Yesterday was a relatively slow day, puttered in the shop, worked on the history of our Oddfellows lodge for publication, made some more progress on the model P51 electrification. Washed the Transit Connect and got loaded up for it’s maiden voyage to the farmers markets this weekend.
Today will be flying all day. Get to see such scenic cities as Akron and Allentown, will finish the day with a trip to Martha’s Vineyard. Not much else to report.

Coffee is made, wife sleeping in, Cody walked
No plans today except continue wood stacking and door repairs. Shortened a 12 ft 4x4 pole a little to wedge in as a backstop on the second row firewood
Grass is not growing but using time to weed whack areas that need clean up.
Mostly, taking a month vacation can do wonders for work burn out but doing it all in August makes it very crowded around the tourist destinations
Finally got some tomatoes before the critters got them.

Good morning! 79˚F before sunrise heading to 100+. My backyard tempest weather station is usually a few degrees cooler than the truck temp gauge that rides on the hot asphalt. Yesterday the truck said 104˚ while driving, while the backyard said 101˚, either way it feels like an oven outside. We will be breaking records this week with days in a row in the hundreds. The water at the pool felt freezing but it was 80˚, got a refreshing swim in.
The lawyer my parents used retired and their office was not accepting new cases so we had to find another lawyer.
A productive day yesterday with the new lawyer who will be guiding us through probate, I like her, she talks fast and we are paying her by the hour. She gave me homework to do so today I'll be busy.
My wife starts her free neighborhood language classes today. She will be taking back to back classes of Spanish and German and then later in the fall add ASL -American sign language, which we both will be taking. I have a 200 day streak of on-line language classes, I started out in Spanish but then switched to German which is so much easier to me. My parents and grandparents spoke both German and English. The Spanish would be more helpful understanding the hard working immigrants in Texas but this is more like a memory game for me and I tend to drift to fun.
The knee surgeon prescribe some anti inflammation pills and they are working, no knee pain in my good knee, I'm temped to postpone surgery till we get further along in probate.

My son we just visited just got invited to go with friends to Yankees game Sunday and Mets game Monday in NYC, so is driving up here Saturday. Last minute deal for someone who canceled.
