John Deere 4500

Afternoon everyone, I bought a 4500 months ago and haven't got more than 15 minutes in the seat. First the clutch went out a week after I bought it. Finally got around and dropped it off with a mechanic and he got it repaired. Hooked up the bushhog and drove out to the weedpatch and now my pto will not engage. I tested the switch and it appears to be ok. Is there a fuse or relay that I should check? Where exactly does the wiring lead to once it leaves the switch? I'd like to run down the wiring to make sure there isn't just a loose connection or broken wire. Thanks for any help, this thing is takin years off my life one problem at a time.

The Deere 4500 is a kit tractor made buy Yanmar and sent to the Deere assembly facility.
The Yanmar US Series models align to you model. The Yanmar US40 has the 4TNE84 engine as well and the tech manual has a trouble shooting section for the PTO.

If the JD4500 has the Yanmar EG-UFO feature, then it's possible the PTO mode is not set right for running the brush mower. See page 72 attached. Wish I knew more of the more modern Yanmar/Deere UFO features. I only know the older system.
