How to stir peanut butter in 30 seconds.

To me peanut butter is peanut butter. No idea where I'd get fresh ground but I'd imagine it goes stale rather quickly. I don't use enough to use it all before that point...mostly just to make a quick PBJ when I'm hungry and can't be bothered to make a real meal.

I stopped using the Natural Peanut Butters I had in the fridge on my spin the bottle mouse trap buckets since it went stale and molded rather quickly. Sometimes the regular stuff with preservatives is better suited and lasts longer.

I've had the same problems. My wife will only buy the natural stuff, since she packs PB&J for the kids school lunches several days per week. I guess it has less preservatives and other crap in it than good old Skippy or JIF, but it goes moldy rather fast on a mouse trap.

You could try mixing in some rolled oats for the mice. It dries out the peanut butter enough not to mold in my experience.

Prolly gives their little poo balls a little better consistency as well

If I know I will be using peanut butter I make my own by roasting
the peanuts in the oven at 200 F then when cool grind them up &
then add unsalted butter and then add the himalayan pink salt and
mix well. Real smooth and spreads well and tastes great!

I'm the OP on this with an update. In post 107 I mentioned to put the unopened jar of PB in a sink of warm/hot water for an hour or two before mixing and it mixes much easier. As a side item, freshly mixed and warm PB is the best I ever had and I would use this pre-heat method if for no other reason than that.

Please try it and again, only with PB that is 100% peanuts and a little salt.

Also, in an earlier post I mentioned to start mixing in reverse and I would correct that to start in forward. An unfortunate kitchen even this morning while mixing warm PB shows forward to be a better idea to reduce splatter.

The warm water idea turns the PB to a semi-liquid so you could almost mix it by shaking it for a minute or so.

I'm on the lookout for a paint can shaker at auction to take things to a new level..

My wife insists on buying the all-natural peanut butters, which separate and must be stirred. They aren't terrible, and I'm sure they're more healthy, but I do love me a jar of some homogenized Jif or Skippy, when I can sneak it into the house.

Try the real PB, do as suggested in this thread and you will be in for a treat. It's that good.
