Yes...finish work always takes so much time as you can't hide mistakes ! What kind of backsplash are you putting under the vent hood ?

Is your stove going to be propane? If so you have to use a bigger CFM rating for the vent fan vs if it was an electric stove.. I just had our propane tanks filled up. $ 3.01 a gallon vs 2.89 in Dec.

Propane. Vent is 400 cfm. Any larger would require make up air. I keep a window cracked in that room almost all the timeIt should be fine.
Propane was 2.99 gallon. I was expecting 3.39 so I was pleased.

Put some outlets in today. I worked from the house waiting on my 4th scheduled delivery of the range. They called me at 2:30 to say the truck was broken down on the highway. Mobile mechanic had worked for several hours but they had to tow it back. Could I take delivery this weekend? Sure. So I worked on some electrical, hung a mirror and finally brought the boiler online. We have hot water. Not sure how the heat is programmed but I have DHW.

Talked to the inspector who handles the office work and he said I can bring a set of plans with the master bath changed to “unfinished storage” and I should be able to get that approved within a few days. I have a listnof about 7 electrical things that need to be
Done, including the outdoor lights. Also probably a day of siding and paint. Never finished the area under the back porch. A handful of stuff in the kitchen. I am thinking 3
Days worth of work and I will be
Ready for
Inspection.

Oh David - I forgot to mention this. Your appliance store called me by mistake yesterday and said the range was not going to be delivered today because the truck was engulfed by a plague of locusts on the way out of town and then the driver started speaking in tongues and Beelzebub emerged from his spine and smashed the range to bits. So they are waiting for another one to send out. My bad.

😁
Jeesh. How hard is it to deliver a fraking stove?!?!

At work yesterday we were talking about all the deliveries that I have had, that were damaged. 3 pallets of Mr Cool mini-splits that looked like the played fork lift soccer with them. Holes punched all the way thru one of the compressors metal grate.
Three deliveries for the refrigerator. Cabinets were busted up the first time. Sips panels had a little damage. It has been crazy.

They delivered today. When they were backing up, you could hear stuff bumping around inside the truck up. This isn’t exactly a level easy driveway.

When they opened the back door it was chaos, with empty bins and old appliances that were not strapped in. But they pulled my oven out of the middle of the truck and unboxed it. I went over it as completely as I could to insure there was no damage. When the brought it inside i took off the tape and wrapping that was holding the door and drawer shut and checked everything. They kept trying to shove the clipboard in my face so so they could leave. I finally signed and they left and I started the process of swapping out the orifices.
We have a working stove now.
