I got upgraded to residential as well. It’s been a long wait but I am very pleased with the service. Never thought I would have this kind of internet service out in the sticks. Thanks Elon

Should the router be connected?

Yes. Did you log into the router? If you did, you might try turn the router off for a few minutes and then plugging it, if it hasn't come back on line by now.

I got the message today, thT I am upgraded to residential.
When I look at advanced it doesnt offer another speed test so here is the basic one.

I triple check using the on-board test, fast.com, and speedtest.Net. Just to offset any implicit biases in the programming.

Yeah, $120 is on the high side but where I live, it beats the other satellite providers. Dish and Hughesnet are a bit cheaper but they play games with data caps and throttling. They're also slower and have more service interruptions.

The wireless providers like Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc. are a bit cheaper but they don't offer the same speeds. They also have the same throttling problems.

In my location anyway, Starlink is by far the best option at this point in time. This varies greatly by location though so YMMV.

It sucks that it went up again, but considering what I used to pay for Comcast internet a decade ago living in a metro area it still a great deal at $120. For the Starlink target audience there's really no arguing that it is a great solution at a still decent price. I mean... if a person has another ISP option that has comparable speed and monthly 1TB data allowance for less then they really should be using that. For rural folks like me with **** for other ISP options it is fantastic.

Starlink been out for 40 minutes right now. Had to fire up my backup system.

I did a reboot on mine and it just came back. Took 30 plus minutes.
