You won’t get far with that argument when they suspend your license because of excessive tickets, DWI, etc. Or just simply try letting your license expire and refuse to renew it.

They will convince you very quickly that driving is a privilege not a right.

I got the right with no license, no registration, no tags, no taxes on fuel, and with the SMV decal on the back. I could travel across the country driving it too.

That's a UK thing. The rest of Europe doesn't identify with driving on that side of the road, also known as the wrong side.
