Good morning!!!!

60 outside this AM. That should be the high for today, I can hear a cold front moving through. We got to 80 yesterday, so I spent the day with the wife on the front porch and walking around. She made it to the back forty yesterday, but not into the woods. Another 10 acres to go. She needs to build up her walking time again. Slowly getting there.

Lots of branches and sticks down, may need to get the chain saw out today. I am hoping to get it all picked up and moved to the burn pile. Maybe this weekend I can torch it all.

With the warmer weather that passed, I should manage to get in the Milk House and install the bathroom fan, but I am not motivated to get into the attic and less motivated to start cutting holes again. LOL. I do need to double down and get that done though. Never did get that last electrical line fished, or figured out. It disappears into the alternate universe some people live in. LOL. I can approach it by tearing into the bathroom wall though. I need plumbing there, so the concrete walls will probably have to be sledgehammered out for that. That's going to be a tough job.

Not much else planned or on the agenda. Hope all have a good start to the weekend, be safe, stay or get healthy.

Reminds me of winter 2008/9.

The 60" blade couldn't keep up. I woke up the 3016, found the bucket under a 3 foot drift, and cleared snow most of the day.

More coming Sat. night; snow most of next week.
That's having to much fun.

43º going to 53º today. 1 inch of rain forecasted today. Got 1/2" yesterday. This is good. We needed a good ole drought buster winter. Going to the doctor today for a general check up. Sort of a meet and greet because my old doctor retired (n) I hate when that happens lol. I'm sure he earned it...
I'm up early trying to get my work done so I can go. Have a great day everybody.

The biggest sensor problem we have with the F150 is the Tire Pressure Sensor units in the tires! I wash/oil my filter twice a year, it seems to do the job. But I am only putting about 3000 miles a year on the truck, so it is getting cleaned every 1500 miles or so, which probably makes a big difference. I use ATF to oil the filter, it seems to be the same stuff and much cheaper!
Did you notice the huge particle count at the start of the ProjectFarm tests when the K&N filter was clean? As others here have pointed out, they don't start working well until they are partially clogged up. Every time you clean and re-oil the filter, you're dosing the engine with another slug of dirt. You may not notice the damage at first, but I'd expect such an engine to start using more and more oil as the miles piled up toward 100K. $.02..

Good Morning!!!! 36F @ 4:15AM. Rain and wind early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. Potential for heavy rainfall. High 48F. SE winds at 20 to 30 mph, decreasing to 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall near a half an inch.
The radar is showing snowfall to the west, north, and east of here, just a hundred or so feet up in elevation. Also a big glob of yellow to the west, the heavy rain the forecast mentioned. Might see snow on the ground here, but probably not.

Uneventful trip to town yesterday, other than it was spitting snow when I got up the hill to CA70. It was back to rain a couple miles later, literally down the road.

Found a sale on beef roasts at the grocery store, so snagged a couple and pressure cooked one when I got home. Threw in a big bunch of wild rice half way through and the meat came out super tender. Perfect warm up for a cold winter evening.

Not sure what I'll get into today, maybe get TurboTax loaded and take a swing at taxes. Not in any hurry, as the longer I wait, the better the chance that the Congress critters'll get off their butts and pass tax relief on the Fire Victim Trust payments, saving me the chore of refiling if they don't get around tuit before the filing deadline.

TGIF gang!

Yup. It looks like the K&N relies on accumulated dirt to act as filter media. There really is no magic bullet. You can’t get free flow and good filtration, those goals are at odds with each other. The trick is to find a balance that is acceptable.
