44F and "Fair" @ 21:30, temps falling rapidly after hitting a high of 73 which apparently set a new record high temp. Calling for a low of 27F tonight. A real rollercoaster.

Got pressure washer and some other items moved up to the shop, covers for some fluorescent lights moved over to the barn.

Eight rolls of insulation taken down around back and stowed in the basement.

Cargo area of van swept and vacuumed out.

Got cleaned up and made doctor's appointment after that and got a good report there.

Headed over to Menards in Kent after that, just to put some eyes on their plywood selection.

Looks like 3/4 Sande might be the sweet spot as far as value goes for the carcass/frame.

Headed over to Lowes after that, somehow a Jorgensen corner easing plane managed to follow me home ...

Stuffed peppers were waiting for me here when I hit the door. Also an apple crisp ...

Probably change out of my nice duds and head out to the garage for a bit.

Good evening all. 35ºF for the start, partly cloudy, windy. Wind slowed down, sky cleared off and high temp was 51ºF. putter in morning, bike ride, then nap, then trip to town for dinner and grocery shopping the sales. Lost water again today for most of afternoon. They are still transitioning people to temp water system.
RS nice work on the dust collection system.
Spike we are on the other side of the cold front. Hope you can keep weeds under control.
Ron sorry Internet is out. 500K is a lot of powerless people.

The biggest sensor problem we have with the F150 is the Tire Pressure Sensor units in the tires! I wash/oil my filter twice a year, it seems to do the job. But I am only putting about 3000 miles a year on the truck, so it is getting cleaned every 1500 miles or so, which probably makes a big difference. I use ATF to oil the filter, it seems to be the same stuff and much cheaper!

the week before last (before the firings and controversy at work), our first office party for National Tortilla Day was organized. Everyone bring in Chips-n-Dips! Today is also the last day for big moogamoog from Corporate to be wandering around. . . And it is Friday. . . Let’s see what shakes out.

With all the rain, it looks like I will finishing up taxes this weekend and shipping it off to the accountant. Gotta take care of Uncle’s hunger pangs. . .

I picked up four packages of #1 steel wool and six cans of Big Gap foam insulation to seal up the tops of the crawl space vents. What kind of moron installs vents with the tops unsealed?

we are already halfway through the CD collection, so I guess we will start repeating in mid-March.

Coffee is brewing. 22° with cloudy skies. Heading to 26° with light snow. Lot of tree damage on east side of house. One branch took out cable connection to house. Probably no internet for days. Start clean up of downed trees today.
No pictures until cable gets hooked up again.
About 1 million families in metro area without power.

Good morning to all. (55 degrees at 4am). A front wiggled through yesterday so stuck at mid 50's with drizzle today. Hopefully, get a chance to buy and put out some dimension pre-emergent in the yard today. Have been fighting sandspurs the last few years. Had a HORRIBLE number a few years back and I am not going to let them get started again. The wildlife is moving in: deer snipping off newly planted trees, coons and armadillos digging up around the house. UGH.
Time to begin tax preparations. UGH again.

nice warm weather of yesterday has sure disappeared, 45 now, high of the day, going down to 22 tonight and cold tomorrow

off to dermatologist this morning. Cleanly shaven, a must to see her, since I've already had one melanoma under my chin.
And another one on my back... so these visits are important.

I love looking at other folks snow pics, as long as not here....I think this will be a snowless winter. That statement should really jinx me.

"Before" (July 2021) and After (this month) photos are in today's WSJ...article says farmers will get the most allocated water since 2019...raised to 35% of contracted supplies from zero.

For many farmers, it's too little, too late. All up and down I5 on my travels to SoCal, I see vast orchards that have been uprooted and pushed into giant burn piles. You can't just not water a tree for a few years and expect it to survive. Even if inflation somehow abates, I fear we're all going to be paying more for walnuts, pecans, and almonds.

Yes, same results for me when I tried them, also 2 different vehicles. Won't touch one again. Spend a little more for a good filter like Wix. You'll be able to buy quite a few of the regular filters for the price of just a K&N + the treatment and cleaner.

+1 on that, Ted. I take it a step farther and pass on buying a used vehicle if I know the PO has been using a K&N filter. The PO of the new-to-me red bike didn't disclose, and I'm dreading what I'll find when I pull the top end apart to replace leaking push rod seals.
