Hello to all. Well was using my box blade to fix the road and it lost pressure to my 3p lift. I had already replaced the rear seal last year for bouncing. That got fixed. So I purchased a pressure gauge and followed the manual Test procedure and I checked the high pressure port and it was at zero psi. Do you fellas recommend another test before I buy a new pump? And do recommend any type of pump to bring it back to factory specs. Thank you so much for your response.

I doubt the pump went out fast like that. More likely that it is a gear drive issue that drives the pump. I would start by removing the pump and inspecting the drive gears.

Thanks, I will check it out, the power steering pump does work. And I think they share the same gear. I have to check the diagrams. Also forgot to mention this tractor had a lot of water in the main hydraulic area. That’s why I have a feeling the power steering pump didn’t get damaged it had its own reservoir.

Like K5 states very rare a pump would be cause of no pressure. Agree with K5 check to make sure the pump is turning

Check your relief valve to see if it stuck or has crud on the seat

I checked and cleaned the relief under the seat and the one in the front next to pump. The rear one was dirty. After cleaning, there was still no pressure. After that I bought the gauge to test pressure as in manual. Zero psi. I’m going to pull the pump and check it. Thanks

Thanks I was reading a couple forums and they say don’t rebuild it because of the aluminum case, it may have clearance issues due to wear.

Yeah they always say that. I've always rebuilt and they worked anyway.

I was looking to see how much the rebuild kit was, but I have had no luck in find a kit for the 1920.

Taking it off is a big part of the expense. You can do that part. Take it to a hydraulic shop and say you want it rebuilt, or just check it out. At least you'll know it's ok or not. They may can repair it with stocked parts off their shelf. I've never went to the manufacturer for replacement parts. I'm one of the guys running all over the place in a service truck.

Measure the clearances and if in tollerance just rebuild. That is if the pump is the problem.

Thanks I will try to find a shop locally. And see what they say. Hopefully it’s rebuildable. Thanks

My manual doesn’t have the clearance info on the pump nor the brake down of the pump, I’m going to try to find it online. Thanks
