That is the deal here. Political discussions are off limits.
That set should cover it.I don't understand your rationale. USA was dirty before EPA and now is much cleaner. I'd rather live where i can drink water, breath air, eat food and my grandkids can do the same. But i'm probably not going to toss the baby out with the bath water, so there is that.

I recall hearing about rivers catching fire and witnessing and smelling the polluted air in the 1970s. Cities had a brown haze hanging over it everywhere. Since the Nixon administration promoted and congress passed the clean air and water acts (creating EPA) all of those things are just a memory. I’m glad that my sons don’t have to experience this.I don't understand your rationale. USA was dirty before EPA and now is much cleaner. Blitz was sued to death. Nothing to do with over regulation. They just couldn't afford to fight any more lawsuits, in part because....Then there’s this thing called over regulation.
Now we import all our steel, medicines and food now. Look where your truck was made.
See how that works?
Anyone buy a Blitz gas can lately? I can’t seem to find one anywhere….![]()
Look up New Mexico Oryx hunting and where the hunting units are: they are next to white sands along the border. That’s where people hunt them. Yes there are issues with drug smuggling and always will be as long as there is a U.S. market. They also come through the coasts and Canada. (Which indeed has an open border). Most undocumented people are here for jobs, not drug smuggling. A lot of them come here on short term visas and don’t leave because our system is broken and congress won’t fix it. And employers are never prosecuted for hiring these people, so it continues. There is no requirement to use e-verify for hiring, so it’s voluntary. A lot of things that congress needs to fix, but they don’t.Right, and thats the way it should be. Crossing from one country into another should be carefully monitored. Thank God in some places it is, because the fentanyl and other illegal drugs being brought here is an atrocity.
It would seem rather stupid to hunt along a border where so many illegal crossings are happening. What if someone mistook a border agent in the brush hunting for illegal crossers for a jackwabbit? Probably much smarter that you went elsewhere.
And yet millions still slip by each year. Seems we set records every month for crossings more and more lately?
Wonder how that works, especially with your keen eyes confirming it takes hours to cross the border legally.
Maybe they have a Star Trek “transporter”?
Beam me up to the USA, land of safe gas cans.![]()
I agree the gas can thing is stupid. But so is the dirty environmental conditions that were cleaned up. The EPA should be called out on stupid gas can things, but to suggest it shouldn’t exist means we will be back in the dirty 70s again.
Thanks, just put it on my wish list...I don't understand your rationale. USA was dirty before EPA and now is much cleaner. Never said it was. Just reporting on the facts of what happened to Blitz. How was the Blitz can any more "defective" than any other plastic gas can ...
I was just posing the question why they were any different than other gas can makers. IDK if there were other factors that made Blitz face so much litigation. Of all the cans I own, theirs seem to pour the best.Never said it was. Just reporting on the facts of what happened to Blitz.
In terms of fuel economy, Ford claims that this 84bhp powerplant manages 88.3 mpg on a combined run
Because people put gasoline in diesel cans, diesel in gasoline cans, gas in water jugs, etc. Heck, you can find many mentions of TBN members doing just that. Why do diesel cans need the same regulations? Last I checked, diesel wasn't nearly as flammable as gasoline. Not even close. Not even a little bit close. Not in the same ball park. Not in the same galaxy.
So why does the EPA have such a hard-on for anything diesel?
