Ok I unfortunately do not have the drive gear I had to use it on my new engine when I replaced it. But this is where I think your problem is. You will have to remove the hydraulic pump again to confirm.

The drive gear is a reduction type gear box mounted to the back of the injector pump. You need to remove the hydraulic pump then remove the gear box and inspect the splines and gears. I will post a picture of what the back of the injector pump looks like and the part I am taking about circled in red.

If I had not used it I was going to offer it to you for free.

If you can find a way to turn the shaft while it is on the tractor that would tell but I do not think that will be easy. If you could turn the shaft then it is bad. No way should you be able to turn it with it attached to the tractor.

All right then back to the barn. So what do you know about John deer bulldozers. I can’t believe they put a damn computer on it. My brother put a new injector pump on it and I think he got it out of time. It will run for 5 seconds and **** down. Every time I see Electronics I wanna choke an engineer

Not much but if the pump was out of time I doubt it would start at all. That sounds like a fuel shut off solenoid problem. Something is telling it to shut down or power to it only when starting.
