Alien - have fun at the club- how is the hand, did the surgery help?
Hands are not healing as quick as I had hoped. Still got a ways to go. Both thumbs still have bad pain further back in the joints. Hospital wants to see me on 5th Jan. Not long to wait.

Looking at installing more of the barn gooseneck lights. Did one last year. Two more to go. Was finding in one of the drawers the hole saws and it looks like the big Lenox hole saw will work for the junction box. The last one installed I used tin snips to cut through the steel siding. I don't know if the hole saw will work in steel siding or I should just go back to using a tin snip

Buckeye, try to look busy. You don't want your wife to think you are bored. Sometimes it seems if my wife thinks I'm bored she finds things for me to do. o_O

Chris

Good point, I’m sure she will have a list regardless of what I’m working on. She already wants new light above the sink. Have a 3 ft fluorescent one that sometimes doesn’t light, then I broke a plastic socket base the other day

The issue with cutting profiled siding with a holesaw is keeping it centered if the pilot drill is not on a raised section. In that case, I have had good luck with cutting a hole with the holesaw in a piece of 3/4” plywood and then clamping or screwing that to the surface to be drilled, using it to guide the holesaw. It works well when cutting a hole bigger and there is no meat for the pilot bit as well.

BEF- When I retired, there was no hiding from the 'honey do' list. I also found I was never busier, I have said to friends, "If I knew I was going to be this busy in retirement, I would have stayed working!!" At least I am busy doing what I enjoy, hopefully you will as well.

The only advantage to Prime is free shipping as far as I can see.
I do not have prime and I do not pay for shipping as long as my cart total is $25. Delivery is usually 1-3 days. I guess being near a hub has its advantages.

Record high temp today 82˚F. Cut up and cleared out some down limbs at mom's, along with a grocery run.

Welcome Shetland Sheepdog. Going to need a shorter name for you... ;)

have been looking at small travel trailers. Found one built by Amish in Indiana that I can tow behind Volvo.
need to figure out what adding electronic brake controller to car would cost.

4 days to Florida at 75 a day for campsite: 300
tolls 100
gas 1300 miles at 14 mpg $420

times two for roundtrip 1600 vs 3000 for train ticket

I think I may be getting back into rv'ing...as long as I can be comfortable in something small enough to be towed.
Plus it would allow me to go visit folks.

And roomy enough for a companion 🤙

Good (actually Tuesday) morning. Yep, I and my guests, had a 'retirement brain fart' and thought that yesterday was Tuesday instead of being Monday... it took us until the early arvo to realise this. Oh well, it hasn't been the first time and it won't be the last.

Overnight Low of 14C and it's a chilly 16.7C at present. Wind, overcast and there was 9.3mm in the gauge at 0900. Practically all of that rain came yesterday morning during a thunderstorm that swept through. Pyengana received pea-sized hail along with their 'boom-crash opera'.

The halls were un-decked, including the display at the end of my driveway. More de-cluttering was accomplished be my Aunt.

Today is a definite tip-run and recyclable cardboard run. There's some mail to be picked up and a large grocery list to fulfil.

That's about it, take care all (on this definite Tuesday :) )

I definitely enjoy it.

Another one I like is Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout.

If you haven't yet tried it, give it a shot ... ;)

I have tried a lot of Samuel Smith’s brews and enjoyed them all. I have a S. Smith’s Imperial Stout waiting it’s turn in the the fridge
