36F and gray @ 14:00, heading up to a high of around 43F.

We worked downstairs until around 23:30 last night.

The next box of papers I found contained a lot of boxes of Mom and Dad's old checks. Got probably 8 - 10 of those burnt along with some of our old checks and bank statements. The oldest was from 1978. There are probably around 20 boxes of checks still to go (in that bankers box) ... :(

Also got more stuff removed from the wooden Ikea shelves along the south wall, and a bunch of old paint in quart cans removed from the steel shelves on the east wall.

Woman did some vacuuming in the family room and washed various things in the stationary tubs.

She just got back from running some of that ham and bean soup She made up to a neighbor friend and her husband. She is now down in the basement plugging away again.

Did not get the Menards order finalized and placed last night, but I will do that here in a bit ... at least for the polyiso foam board insulation, since it's on sale at a significant discount through the 11th. Most of the rest of the stuff can wait.

I did get another order placed with Amazon for an additional Christmas present for the Woman. That should arrive tomorrow ... ;)

Agenda for today:

More of the same, probably should check the hopper feeder and see how hard the birdies have been hitting it.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday ... (y)

Did some maintenance work on the Sprinter this afternoon. Changed the O rings on the moisture sensor in the diesel fuel filter to stop a small leak. Checked the engine code P-0686 which means number 6 glow plug has failed. I have set up an appointment to have Sun Motor Mechanicsburg, PA change it. They are very fragile and have to be removed with engine hot to make it easier to remove without breaking it.

le pont, french for bridge. French AND English are both official languages up here. Ontario and the rest of the provinces must use both on their signage BUT Quebec only uses French.

Here is another bank barn that was converted to a church. It is located very close to our property also.

When I worked in Quebec in 1968 there was a lot a conflict between the province of Quebec and the rest of Canada and when asking for directions people always answered in French even though they all spoke good English

Got the temp tag for the new car coming on Monday... worked on the Landscape rake attachment. I'm putting a 3" hydraulic cylinder on the 84" rake so I can swing it to either side without getting off the tractor and pulling pins and keepers.

I have the Firman from Costco.... the harmonics are not bad at all!
I also have a Champion propane 3500W from TSC..... it's way louder than the Firman.
Not sure if there is a sound difference between using gasoline or propane.....

Which size firman ? Some smaller ones are inverter with good harmonics, larger ones not inverter. I have seen food trucks using them.

Good day in the shop.....
Both generators fired up almost immediately. Considering that I haven't started the small one in about 4 years, and the other big one for at least 2 years, I was enthralled they started so easy. Never any gasoline in them, just LP...... no gunked up carbs.... yippee!

Then got started on the edge tamers. Couldn't find the small cut pieces, but I think they worked better with a 'new' design. Got them welded together, drilled one of two mounting holes. Just couldn't stand anymore. I kept taking breaks sitting down to let them cool, but the knee just started arguing about the standing situation.... I'll drill the last hole and put the final touches on them tomorrow.
..... I think I have some black paint......

A couple of pics of the project:

....and one of the fit-up to the bucket:

This is the side that needs to be drilled. I think I'll cut the corners off and round the tips that stick out front..... I can see walking into one of those and putting a nice cut in a shin......
