I don't see the problem with spending. It seems to me that the problem is with borrowing.

True. Inflation only corrects itself when demand falls off far enough that hungry sellers (manufactures, dealers, or resellers) drop prices to gain back sales. Period.
Every sale fills the seller with hope that another sale will follow. This is why we know we are not at the bottom of this pit yet.

Rational people when faced with saving at a lower rate than inflation will continue to spend, spend, spend. Thus the reasoning by the uninformed that our economy remains "strong" when in point of fact, no, it is not.

If industry is producing goods and buyers are buying those goods with strong demand, yes the economy is strong. But of course inflation is insuring that only the higher earners and wealthy are benefiting from that strong economy.

Scuts and cut sales are going to continue dropping due to demographics. Us baby boomers are mostly retired and have driven up these sales for the past decade. Many early career people can’t afford tractors and there are less of them than the boomer generation.

I agree. You have to have $42K too much or are we just seeing huge business write offs here? As in spend it or lose 40% of it to taxes. Remember there are 86k new IRS agents waiting to justify their jobs.

Or maybe there are lots of people with lots of disposable income who are buying toys because they like them and they have the money?

We obviously have simple tax situations and cannot deduct everything like a small hay producer can. So we take the standard deductions with little chance for cheating.

I cant blame you. I’ve never cheated and I sleep very well knowing that.

Good for you. Lots of people with more tax code advantages tend to stretch those advantages. People without those advantages don’t have much opportunities to cheat even if they wanted to.

I get more angry with the abuse of power by government workers, politicians and bureaucrats more than a guy that deducts one too many rolls of paper towels.

Anyway-back to declining tractor sales. One of my friends is in tractor sales. He says it’s dead around the holidays.

You are entitled to be angry at whatever you want. It is a good idea to determine if that anger is based on facts or alternative facts.
