tonight will be a very bright full moon aka hunters moon

The hunter’s moon has historically signaled to farmers that it was time to prepare for the chilly winter ahead, as the full moon’s light provided easy visibility for hunting the animals that would fuel them through the cold months, according to The Old Farmer’s Almanac.

“Animals are beginning to fatten up ahead of winter, and since the farmers had recently cleaned out their fields under the harvest moon, hunters could easily see the deer and other animals that had come out to root through the remaining scraps,” the Almanac said.

Dennis, like your creative approach. 🤙

I had house turned facing south to put solar panels on roof. By turning it facing east kills that idea, but (there’s always a but) I could run future garage off the back corner, open to south with south facing roof. Or I put in intersecting roof lines. Trying to avoid roof valleys due to increased cost, would like standing seam roof.
Been studying pictures of the lot all afternoon, flipping and mirroring house plan in different directions.

Drew,
I understand your frustration and the angst of having someone else not value your generous donation, but donations are just that. The satisfaction is in the giving. If it’s not well received, then donate where it will do better, but don’t let it upset you.

As far as the difference in opinion of upkeep for the graveyard, on every friends Committee that I have dealt with, decisions were made by consensus. If that wasn’t the case here, that does need to be addressed.

And on politics here, we do free range, but it’s better to stick to what we all have in common than topics that divide us, as we are a diverse group. Because we have so much in common it’s easy to think that our politics are all the same as well, but I doubt that’s the case, just like at the local watering holes…

Actually my new Stihl is an MS261CM with an 18”bar. I also have the 16” bar and chains from my O26 that fit it.

The Makita pole saw is a XAU02PTB
The Makita chainsaw is a XCU04PT1
Pretty sure I only have the 14” bar on the Makita chainsaw.
So is mine just checked MS 261C with 20 inch bar and it has no spark dead as a doornail. Those ignition modules fail too often so will look for an off brand and hopefully it will last a while. The OEMs are expensive.
The pole saw HT131 started today so was able to get a lot of the pines on the ground cut up as far as the 12 inch bar could manage.
Thanks for the Makita information. I will look into if the Milwaukee batteries can be used with a converter as Redneckgeek has suggested

Dennis. I don’t know what your PV tilt might be but you might have some leeway as to direction and how placed.

I resisted a few years before I gave in to Sophie and placed some on Northside of tractorshed

You may want to investigate a changeable mount.
