Looks like I have a broken cable or connection to the joystick cable running to the loader valve. The raise/lower suddenly went limp. The balls (steel) appear to be fine, but there’s no pressure on the one that goes to the up/down.
To get to the bolts to remove the joystick housing it looks like you have to remove the rear tire and fender (ropes too). Am I missing something? Is there an easier way to remove replace the cable (if it’s broke)?

Had something similar happen to mine a number of year ago, in my case the float detents were rusty and jammed causing more force to snap it out of float, in the end I broke the cast aluminum yoke.

I have a cab on my DK40SE and there are a couple caps behind the rear remote controls, pop them out, pull two bolts and side the entire assembly up. For some reason those caps didn't carry over to the open stations.

My guess would be to either pull the wheel or get some multi-jointed person to reach up in there.

I've had mine out. Had a pinched cable that was stiff, to replace. DK45se, Wound up drilling two holes underneath the fender, aligned with the bolts. Aggressive? maybe, but it was sure easy after that.

Thank you for the reply’s!! Yes I did the same thing, drilled two holes to make removing the joystick easier if I need to do it again. The cable end connector (aluminum) at the spool valve ended up being the problem. But I had taken the wheel, fender off before disassembling. I drilled the holes the same diameter as a as a 1/2” conduit (outside diameter), put a plug in the holes. I will be able to pull the plugs and remove joystick much easier now. Now I have to tackle the no start issue unless I mess with the shifter. And a crank no start (just happened too). These problems just started after I had tractor split to fix a leaking hydrostat. I’ll start another thread for it.
