Mahindra 2810 run away

I have a Mahindra 2810 classic. The fuel tank was left completely full and burst the filler neck off, i know some water got into the system. Drained completely and replaced fuel and filter but engine still runs away. Only way to stip it is disconnect fuel line. Neither the key switch or pull out knob will stop the engine. Ideas please??

I have that same tractor and it has been a great machine, Maybe check the throttle and make sure it is not stuck in full . Mine has got real hard to move before and i had to lube the cable.

Yup, it’s either the throttle cable OR the injection pump control rack is stuck..
I’m not familiar with your machine but if u can remove a plate to gain access to the side of the inj pump, I think you’ll find the problem if you push/pull on the throttle WHILE LOOKING at the PUMP RACK..

Throttle moves freely. I took the shutoff lever off the side and the part of the injector pump that looks like a barrel latch is completely frozen. So i'm thinking pull the injector pump out and soak it with the waterand gunk ive seen so far i'm betting the pump is either rusted or gummed up almost completely.

Lol.. so u know what the inside of the pump looks like..
Whatever you do, don’t hammer on the control rack..
If you’d like some experienced hands on it, I’m available..

They autta make that a “sticky” .. lol

Never use that junk. All you do is ask for trouble.

Pulled the injector pump and soaked overnight. Got the shut off sliding freely, all good now. Starts right up and idles good no smoke!
