luckily, i dont have to deal with drifting snow. the trees block the wind. there are a few roads on our association that get drifted so bad you cant tell where the road is. but i let someone else worry about that.

Do you mean 15/16ths of one inch? Because 15-16" would be a pretty good forecast!

All I know is, after the extra few inches yesterday, it was a pretty heavy plow job, and I am just thankful we had enough to make an igloo. Haven't tried this idea before; it is taking a LOT of snow to build up, lol.

I could donate a bunch to your cause.

I've still got four inches on the ground. It's slowly melting. All this "weather" has bypassed me. Today I recorded - 0.02 inches of rain. Forecast is for warmer weather this coming week. With, maybe, more rain.

Out here, when they say be prepaired for an inch, well get 10ā€. When they say were going ti be slammed by 10ā€, we get 1/4ā€.

and they still keep their jobs.
Yup being a weather person means you can be wrong most of the time and still have a job.

When we built a quinzie (igloo) I made a pile with the tractor bucket and pack it down after emptying the bucket. Then the wife, kids and grandkids dug out the center of the igloo. Packing it beforehand meant the roof stayed in place without supports. They wanted to sleep in it, but ran out of time before evening set in. Jon

Still snowing. Cleaned 20-30" x60' long to the road. Lots on it and road plow is MIA.

That lonnng night.
Poor driver. Out yesterday at 330am. Got stuck around 8 or 9pm. Out an hour later and broke down. Slept in the truck for two hours until the mechanic came and then was called out at 330am again. Looks like another storm for Tuesday
