I'm curious what you're imaging for "diverters". I could picture just buying some aluminum angle strips from home depot, and bolting to s5 brackets, making a "V" above the chimney. Our basic snow guards seem to be doing the trick for 6 years now, but I can't go up and see it directly in the winter.
Yes the diverter is a wedge to split the snow and ice so it doesnt push on the chimney. The standing seam makes it harder to set up and I was planning tonise the s-5 clamps but was having trouble figuring out the rest of it. I can just buy a pre-made one for about $450. But something about that kills my soul.
