I’m the original owner and it is in immaculate condition, meticulously maintained. I have a clear title, under my name. I am selling it at this price of $16,000 because my husband died 1 month ago and it brings back bad memories and that’s the reason I want to sell it. Thank you for getting back to me but I would like to clarify some things first. I am not in town at the moment. I'm staying at my sister's place for a while until things get better for me. The tractor is already at the shipping company American Freight Services ready for delivery because someone agreed to buy it, but in the end he never got the loan. I will use American Freight Services in this transaction for our protection. If you are not aware of this program, you should know that it will allow you to test and inspect the tractor before paying me. The inspection period will be set to 5 days and I think that is enough time for you to make a decision about the tractor. If you won`t like my tractor you notify American Freight Services and you send it back at my expense. But I assure you that won't be the case. If you want the tractor, please reply with your full name, delivery address and phone number so I can start the transaction with American Freight Services and ask them to call you and send you the terms of this transaction. no further obligation.

Every scam has the same pattern. Tractor is somewhere else and you can never see it in person before giving them your personal information.

The fact "she" says "clear title" is the first red flag, because tractors do not have a title like a car does.

It's a dead giveaway when they say they are not in town or can't give you a address to arrange a test drive, and the worst is just giving a email..

Not sure why you are posting this? It is textbook... I see these multiple times a day. If we all came on here declaring that the scam we saw on FB Market or CL was a scam.... there would be no other content here.

I say the dead give away here was the price. Plus she wouldn't be selling the tractor herself she would have some male family member doing it for her.

When I was looking for my tractor, I searched CL a lot to see if I could find any deals. I came across a lot of these wonderful machines for an extraordinarily low price for the great shape they were in. There are MANY of these out there. The thing I don't get is, who is doing it, why are they doing it, and SHIRLEY they are not actually getting money from people in response to these ads. It drove me crazy to see these, cause it took me time to open the ad only to go on to the next one. I get the random emails from the Nigerian Princess. They might get one in 100,000 to send them money for an easy Bot to send out emails. But it takes time and a bit of effort to post on CL and other sites. Its like they are posting these ads just to make me waste my time. Arrrrrgh! ! ! OK, I'm done.

A coworker was all ready to buy a tractor down in Texas, and his BIL would have driven down to pick it up. It belonged to her ex-boyfriend and she wanted it gone before he got back in town.
It took me a while to convince him it wasn’t real... but part of me was saying that I should let him learn the hard way, under the circumstances.

2 yrs ago or so I posted something on here about a whole website with fake tractors at amazing prices the idea that id get such a great tractor at such a low price got the wheels turning on all the enjoyment I'd get using it. It went on for awhile and a few humbled random people openly admitted on a public forum they were scammed by it. Fortunately I only went as far as requesting the doctored inspection reports (which they sent me) I called the BBB and they informed me the sight was using a server in central America.

Most women I know are perfectly capable of selling a tractor. But yes, this is a scam.
