Hay Farmers getting out of farming

That was not directed at you. I was agreeing with you.

I don't have a farm and never offered my uninformed opinion of what that takes.
You shouldn't have taken it that way. My invitation to tell us about your farming operation was only that. Not a slight to you. I support farmers and have been a farmer so I know how difficult it can be. You don't have to be a farmer to appreciate farmers.

I was just old enough to steer the 15 year tractor up and down the wind rows at age 4 as the others loaded the hay wagon by hand and from that moment I wanted to be in the driver’s seat.

Tried several times to buy this tractor but no luck… a few years back a younger cousin did a nice restoration…

Oh… the hay fork in the lower right of the frame is my entryway hat rack here in Oakland…

Please elaborate or do you only reply to things that incite or think will "push buttons"? I've had much better trying to push mine but that hasn't happened in well over 25 years. So if that's what you are looking for, maybe it's time to find someone else - i don't play that game.
I can't help it if you are incited by my opinions which are as vehement as yours. It's pitiful what our political and military leaders have done to the image of the United States. They strut around the world like big shots at the expense of American taxpayers to destroy the moral authority of our country not to mention getting our soldiers maimed and killed. The only time when both political parties are together on any issue, it's make war. It's pitiful. You may be a good soldier. I can accept that. I wish you can accept my right to my view about how we must behave as a nation.

Obviously you just can't answer a tough question. Be specific and let us all know what this mindset I have must be? So far you haven't had a view, just talking points

Looks like you are stereotyping again. I wasn't aware the American Military "Soldier" only had one mindset.

As far as responses go, I made that statement due to the fact that in this thread you haven't really been able to back up anything, and you don't respond to tough questions e.g., #295.
You should have seen him try in the gun thread.

This is not a discussion, Chris. You are just slamming me up against the wall.

You want to know what a mindset is? Here is a definition from Wikipedia: "the established set of attitudes held by someone".

Take the political discussions over to Top News Talk.

That is not an answer! You specifically said "American Soldier Mindset". I asked you to be specific! I'm asking you (Not Wiki), because I'm obviously so ignorant, and can't figure out what exactly this mindset is!

Your answers appear, once again, to show that all you can do is deflect and show ignorance. I mean seriously, is Wiki the best you have? Don't you have a real thought, or can you only have somebody else tell you what to say? It really wasn't and still isn't a tough question. Besides, you are the one that brought it up. One would think that if you are going to talk about something that you appear to know absolutely nothing about, you would, at the very least pick & choose your words and statements so you could defend what you are saying.

Honestly, if this is the best you have, maybe you need to get a refund for all those years you spent partying instead of learning how to debate.

I'm always looking for a good debate and as my signature below states, I will listen to all opinions - which I believe I have. However, when you decided to throw out data and talking points that are flawed (in my opinion), and can't even begin to debate the subject (because you appear to have nothing to share except the original talking points), it really makes you look sad! So I will ask just one more time. Specifically, please inform all of us "Exactly" what you believe the "Military Mindset" is.

This is not a slam on you, I'm just trying my best to get you to actually answer a question that "you" began with! You asked me if I was able to get out of my "American Soldier Mindset". I really would like to answer, but for some reason you are unable to give me the answer I need to determine what this mindset actually is.

As a side note, wiki isn't always the best place to find answers.

Wow, loose hay…..
Those were the days, my friend.
Amazing picture-such a contrast to where we are today.
Thanks for sharing. The tranquility really improved my mood.

Back in the day with a blower powered by the tractor PTO flat belt to move hay to the hayloft and trap doors to drop it down to the cows when no fresh grass availablle…

My brothers wife cringes when she sees this picture… me for operating tractor at 4 barefoot and her then age 3 year old future husband on top of the hay wagon thinking it’s a miracle he didn’t fall off and break his neck…

Have same set up in one of the barns I work out of. The blower and the belts are still there. Powered by a Farmall.

Apparently they don't understand that unhappy cows don't give much milk...
HA. I know this was a few pages ago but I couldn't resist a reply. I once tried to politely tell him that his super long signature was making us all scroll a lot more, and he basically told me to f off; "I browse this forum on my phone so I can't even see it".
If seeing signatures bothers you, go to: https://tractorbynet.com/forums/account/preferences and scroll down to the "Show people's signatures with their messages" setting and uncheck that box, then you won't see people's signatures while browsing.

Yes Dad raked hay into wind rows with the Farmall then going along slowly I'd pitchfork hay onto wagon. I rested riding wagon down to horse barn then pitchforked into barn, packing in much as possible.
When Dad & I made horse barn we made a large room for hay, dirt floor with pallets.
Certainly not the best and lots of work.
Dad had the farrier out once for me to watch...then that was my job!

For you guys that say putting up hay is hard work, watch this girl show you some hard work.

And you can tell this is not her first rodeo.

Seen that video a bunch of times. She’s cute, but I’d rather do that than stack bales in a 105* barn.

Children were allowed to be a lot smarter back in the day.

Or Darwin’s theory.

I sometimes get those confused.
