I think you mean rich enough. If I had Elon Musk money everyone in my family would be getting one for Christmas ;)

Well, I was dumb enough to have $31,000 into this, but that includes the Boss plow.
Doesn't have the luxury interior or top speed of the Gator, but it has an HST transmission, hydraulics, hydraulic dumping, the ability to have a PTO and 3 point hitch and still has a radio, heat and AC, turn signals and winch front and rear.

I myself think there is more value per dollar here.

For the record, that is 31 Canadian dollars. That Gator would be 40 grand here base price no accessories.

My Ram 2500 Power Wagon ( "the" Taco Wagon ) has ALL the bells and whistles. Why would I ever need a second vehicle with all these amenities.

I feel very lucky - two and a half years and I haven't "ditched" the Taco Wagon - even once. I'm pretty good at setting everything the way I want it BEFORE I hit the county road.

I'm kinda thinking that the BIG farmers dealing with $250-$500k equipment purchases, that asking the dealer. "How about throwing in a 30-40k gator for half price" would be reasonable for both.
Last year I bought a used gator (835R) with a cloth interior, full cab with glass windows and the door glass cranks up and down (not electric, what a heap) and of course full hvac. It also came with tracks for snow fun. The guy owns a marina and had ordered a new one, but with 4 doors.
I swore to myself that I wasn't going to be one of those guys with a $30k+ toy... but it was the one on Craig's list that my wife liked and he was willing to take my Harley as part of the deal and it was only about 10 miles away.
A year later, I have it up on the lift doing so service. That revealed the we put 330 miles and 82 hours on it in a year, and it hasn't left the property.
I'm very happy with my wife's decision. 😆 I'da been riding around in the snow with a bunch of gear on, helmet and goggles, etc.. instead of with her (and the dogs) with the wipers and defroster running wearing a light coat. 👍

Do keep in mind that only the center insert in leather seats is leather. Everything else is faux leather. never been fond of leather seats anyway. Wife's Suburban has them. Only thing that saves them for me is they are heated and cooled.

more things to break... That's one way to make it un affordable, at that price you are better to buy a use pickup truck with big tires and a lift kit.
The used ones are ridiculously high and the Chinese ones are questionable at best, so I've thinking about a 4x4 mini truck here.

I've had leather on and off over the years and wouldn't have anything else now. I take care of the cars and found that 8 or 10 years down the road, the leather looks great and the fabric is really showing wear. On my truck, I do put slip on seat covers on when I'm working.

Whatever blows your dress up. I actually have genuine sheepskin seat covers on my seats and they ain't cheap either. Warm in the winter, cool in the summer and save the seats under them.

Wife' LTZ came with leather inserts, no choice.

Thanks for everyone's opinions/insight, "Luxuries" that were important to me was a hardcoated flip up windshield, better tires, roof, hand crank windshield wiper and winches, power steering is also handy especially in close quarters, Being narrow enough to fit down two track trails is better but limits choices. funny thing I just saw a very low mileage 1/2 ton mini truck advertised on cl for 17k is 4x4 has a locker, off road tires and an automotive 5 speed manual tranny, plus air and heat. Personally I couldn't see myself dropping 40k on a luxury sxs id be afraid to actually use it for work or play nor would it feel like im actually outdoors.

i always wonder why people would pay 30k for these instead of just buying a pickup or jeep at that point, not like your saving fuel money...
