I have driven probably 100,000 miles in some of the most remote parts of the country and people who think theyre just going to drive their EVs through there are in for a very rude awakening.
There wont be a lot of profit in building charging stations in those areas.
Range is insignificant worry to rich suburbia guys, but out in the back country? Better not go too far from home until that little wrinkle gets ironed out.

Camp mode gives only 9 hours of "camping" before the thing shuts down to conserver power.

People were stranded for more than 9 hours...do the math.

If you don't like EVs, don't buy one.
But don't get mad at the (many) people who are buying EVs

If there are so many obstacles and shortcomings, then EV manufacturers will fail,
But don't be mad that major auto makers are investing in the EV future.

If you don't like advances in technology, then cling to the past,
But don't get upset if you are left behind by those who adapt.

If you don't think there will be solutions to current EV shortcomings, then go ahead and be smug,
But maybe practice being humble when the future proves you wrong.

Personally I'm not mad or against EVs...they just do not suit our purposes and certainly am against a mandate and having anything shoved down my throat. Some day maybe I'll have an EV, just something to run errands with IF it's not expensive and has a good warranty from a manufacturer who's been around a while.
As long as we can buy gas & diesel at a decent price I have no problem with that, especially if our electric rates don't increase that much and new electric towers installed everywhere.
