Big Cars are killing Americans

I drive a car that the front window posts (air bags) are so thick that the passenger side one actually hides a school bus on my right when I'm at an intersection.

Then the side windows are so high up that I can't see a compact car if its passing me on my right in traffic, and I'm 6ft.
Mirrors should, but don't help all that much, OK if he's slow, but if he's passing fast I can miss him in a blink.

Lots of today's cars have lots of glass but plastic inner trim greatly reduces the usable glass.

Insurance baloney! Insurance company did a
big survey to see how far from home that
accidents were happening and over 95 % of
people back then that were working had less
than 10 miles to go to work don't know how
long or how much time it took and the cost to
figure out that over 95 % of accidents were
5 to 10 miles of their home!
Back in the 60's in my 20's complete cost for
full coverage was $120 per year now with full
coverage on the car and liability on the truck
I am paying overt $1500 a year and my health
insurance over the past 5 years with the *****
care took a big jump

"...over 95 % of accidents were 5 to 10 miles of their home!"

Ride the bus for those 5-10 miles, then use your car. Much safer.

Should lawyers be allowed to advertise their services?

My take is we have too many cars, we need better public transportation. I read where the UK is pushing this also.

I drive faster until I get 10 miles from home where it's safer. 🤪

Yes, we need better affordable public transportation in urban areas. However, it's just too expensive for sparsely populated areas.
