When most of the cars runs on electricity we might se that the exceptions will be given for some uses, hvo is allow here I Europe as a diesel replacement.

I'm thinking if you have to depend on a "gas station" type charger, you won't be very happy owning an EV, unless you are pretty dedicated.
Many who live in apartments do not have clothes washer or dryer. That is a feature they have to shop for, if they desire. Just as not all apartments come with a parking space for an automobile. Just as if you want broadband internet, you have to shop for an apartment in which that service is available.

To claim, "EVs are not viable because apartment dwellers will be inconvenienced" is a lame argument. By definition apartment dwellers compromise. Cable TV? Internet? Washer & dryer? Parking? Pets? EV charging?

how can I determine what amperage electrical service I have? Furnace, water heater and stove are natural gas.
Check the master breaker in your electrical distribution panel.

The claim, "many have only 100A service" is weak. Some older homes will be 100A but around here no 100A slum has been built in 50 years. 200A is typical minimum and most over 2000 sq ft are wired 400A.

I was looking at homes in TN and found it curious how most were 225A.

A 40A or 50A circuit makes for very good EV charging.

Problem with hydrogen is how to produce it, so fare it takes way to much energy and distribution is a issue.
With hydrogen distribution is a feature. Politicians feel comfortable taxing gas stations and extracting political donations from gas station owners. Gas station owners are a protected political class. They bought their protection. They are employers!

I’ve never been swayed by the “it takes too much energy to make hydrogen argument.”
If my solar panel makes hydrogen fuel that’s equivalent to a gallon of gasoline, but I had to collect the solar equivalent of 10 gallons of gas, so what?

It’s one thing, if we have to grow 100 acres of corn to get (say) 20 acres worth of ethanol out of it because the refining process consumes the other 80 acres (that 80% going into the environment prior to consumer use). Or if you need 100 barrels of oil to make 50 barrels of fuel, etc..

But when wind or solar is powering the process, and the ingredients and final exhaust is water, so what? It would seem the efficiency matters less.

No problem if you use electric power that have no other use, if the choice is to charge a EV batteries or produce hydrogen the choice is easy.

If you have excess off peak power, why not make hydrogen?

He says large windmills also require huge amounts of rare earth elements to manufacture. It’s not just EVs they will control.
I'm a bit confused.... Why does a wind generator need huge amounts if any of rare earth elements?
A wind generator is just that... a generator
What is so different than our car generators.
We have had wind generators for years before rare earth elements even were a thing.
