Except for people who only have on street parking, parking in a lot/parking garage, etc or otherwise do not have a dedicated place to park where they can get power to it.

I'm thinking if you have to depend on a "gas station" type charger, you won't be very happy owning an EV, unless you are pretty dedicated.

That’s kinda what I’m waiting for to make my next purchase, but in more of a truck platform.
The Ford Maverick hybrid starts at $23K

But the Maverick is not a plugin like the RAV4 just a hybrid. Has any manufacture announced a pickup plug-in/hybrid coming in the future? That way you can have all the maintenance of a regular truck and have to replace the plug-in batteries after 10 years. Hopefully with the gasoline savings you can come out ahead financially.

Hmmmmm, look who wants subsidies now…..
No subsidy for truckers for mandated drug testing, but subsidies for rich guys EV charging stations for the “Tesla’s“ and the “Lightning F-150s”.

“China controls over 85% of the worlds rare earths and EVs can’t run without them.“
Source: Robert Bryce “A Question of Power” author.
He says large windmills also require huge amounts of rare earth elements to manufacture. It’s not just EVs they will control.
Life sure isn't fair...

I’ve looked at those. The hybrid is only fwd right now, I’d like 4wd/awd, and I’d like a bigger bed and towing capacity. I think it’s a good start in the right direction. Ford hit a really good price point on them.

What is the price range on the Ford F-150 hybrids?

And even for those who DO have a driveway and/or garage, not everyone has a spare 50A/220V circuit just sitting there. Many homes have only 100A service.

how can I determine what amperage electrical service I have? Furnace, water heater and stove are natural gas.
