I did a lot of his way back maybe 20 years ago on a piece of property they eliminated all the Cedars off my 160 acres I’m sure they’ve changed rules and regulations by now and how it is done

Not sure if this applies everywhere, but in Vermont, if you don't get approved in one round of funding, they will automatically submit it for the next round.

The same here in Ohio. You just have to fill out a form about your income every time.

I just had to certify that I didn't make over $900,000 in any of the past 3 years.
Seriously, that's what they wanted to know and that $900k is not a "typo".

Wrong. You appear to be confusing gross revenue with income.

... and the "adjusted gross income" on your income tax is what the EQIP form asks you to certify. That is NOT "cash flow".

I'm envious of all the government and community programs for forest improvement that y'all have back east. There's little like that here. All we get is free chipping and even then they just spray the chips into the woods next to the road.

I believe that all the usda/nrcs government programs are national. I have a 1/2" stack of printed pages that they offer to partner on. As I read through it, a lot of these were definitely not eastern type of programs.
I can't put my hands on it right now (buried somewhere), the government "wheels" turn mighty slowly, add the covid frenzy to the mix (closed offices) and slow turns into even slower. Iirc some of these were for fire control. Not a thing in the east.

Yesterday I packed a trail that I haven't used this winter and want to start using.

There are a couple soft spots that I hope will stiffen up now that they are exposed and out from under the snow.
