My Truth on RK Tractors

If you go to your local Cafe and order breakfast, two eggs over easy ham hash browns and toast and it costs $10. Someone taps on your shoulder and says I can sell you that breakfast for $8. What is your thoughts?
Depends how hungry I am. If very hungry, I have no other thoughts.

Where are they cooking it?

I have the same question. Are they some sort of advertising team?
You see a lot of that on TV commericals anymore.
Does anyone live near them or know them?
Check out "outdoor with the Morgans" on Utube to find out who they are.

I wonder what the real story was there. Mike seems like a guy that would not be interested in selling/marketing a machine the dealer didn't stand behind. Maybe he had some issues and decided he could not in good conscience continue. Maybe he had no issues and it was just timing.
Mike was very up front about the tractors from RK. You just needed to be fortunate enough to view one of the particular videos where he mentioned it. RK reached out to Mike and offered the tractor trio for his unrestricted use and commentary for a period of, I believe, one year, although it seems like he had them longer than that. I think I've seen him mention the deal 3 times. I never recalled him having any issues in the videos I've watched.

Outdoors with the Morgan's

One of the coolest things I've someone do as far as effort and originality. An RK Tractor Dance. Doesn't matter what brand you like, you should enjoy it, if for no other reason, just the effort that went into it.

And a short "leaning tree" how to.

He actually did a "truth about rk tractors"

Just skip straight to 4:28 where he starts his commentary.

Like Mike, this Mike had no problems except the battery connectors, then the ACidler bearing until I hit about 300 hours. I don't know how many hours Mike had at the end of his 2 year agreement. If I had 3 tractors to choose from, it would take While to get to 300 hours on each.

One thing he says in this video "I was contacted by RK Tractor Guy..." The long lost guy that has been discussed above.

Yes I was and sorry if I misread what you were trying to say.
My next question is what did you do to have them make it right?
Make them give you money back to cover the value?
Force a return of the tractor due to breach of contract?
They didn’t deliver the product as advertised or contracted for so they are in breach and My attorney would have my money back or a blue tooth radio installed at thier expense in no time.
Yes I know you have to pay an attorney but for this the cost to have them write a certified letter would have immediate action and resolution. Getting the cost of a blue tooth radio covered could easily be done in small claims court without an attorney if you chose that route.
What can I say... it just wasn't worth the hassle. I had a set of Bose noise canceling headphones, and the way it cuts engine noise is hard to complain. I might have never took them to the tractor if the radio had been right. The store is right in my hometown, I know most of the staff, and my business works on their building. It worked out to my benefit.... as far as the radio goes.

Where is your place, my time is the most valuable thing I have?

For 2 dollars on a meal where I'd leave a bigger tip than the meal cost, location would be the most important factor.

Always tip your breakfast
Waitress well, and you can both start your day off with a smile.

I bought a TYM 23hp hydro tractor in '06. It bounced around the extended family for a few years and wound up back on our farm a few years ago. It's not fancy and isn't overly refined, but it's a nice little tractor that is a worker bee. There have been a few issues here and there, but overall it's been solid.

I'm a Massey and Deere guy, so I wouldn't buy another TYM but I can't complain about this little guy.

Yes there are nightmare service stories with every brand. I personally would not buy a RK, but would consider TYM. I dont like rebranded machines. Bobcat, no. Kioti yes. New Holland WM no, LS yes. Thats just me...no reason to complicate things...they are hard enough to understand as it is.

What happened to the RK Tractor Guy on these forums? I cant search his username any longer.
Heard he is no longer with RK...this has been months ago. I recall he was very helpful
No idea if he left voluntarily or ?
I looked in to RK tractors, but they have no stores in the New England area

More like a couple of years ago. He didn't last long once he appeared here and lashed out. Then the next guy appeared and apparently got unceremoniously canned too. Doesn't speak well for the company.

And can we stop shilling for the family of tractor influencers?

Before I bought my tractor, I shopped around for a good dealer with an excellent rep for service. My feeling is the dealer is just as, if not more so, important as the brand of tractor.
You spend far more hours on a tractor (or should) then at a dealer so tractor reliability should be #1.

What are my thoughts? What a strange question....

But since you asked, my thought probably goes along something like this, "I'm eating breakfast in a public place in the middle of a pandemic because I'm got hungry & I'm stupid enough to risk it.
But what are you doing here & what are you selling?"

I get the feeling that there must be some other point but I've missed it. Anyway, that would be my first thought.

Yep, missed it.

I got my info from one of the guys that was negotiating, that's what he told me...

Who knows, there may be a different story coming from each person that worked there at the time.

SR
Could be. Bottom line is, they don't anymore and they sold of remaining stock at bargain basement prices. My view is RK should not be in the tractor business because they are ill equipped to service them should an issue arise. I do online shopping at RK occasionally. They have some killer pricing often. Never bought any firearms from them because their nearest store is 200 miles from here.

They have a successful YouTube channel
YT is interesting in as much as they pay the folks on a per view basis and promote them into selling 'merch' which is provided by YT affiliates and they get a cut on that as well. Same as the Patreon page.

All about revenue and why YT no longer posts negative 'dislikes' with any video. All has to be positive now.

I subscribe to some but never buy anything from any. Strictly entertainment for me. Three of my favorites are the 'Torque Test Channel and Project Farm followed by Precision Transmission
