It's really quite simple.

If EV is a great idea - it will prosper on its own. There should be no need for subsidies or tax breaks.

Targeting existing industries for destruction, especially at great cost to citizens, to force a move to EV is a "C L U E" this is ideology and not a good idea.

Since there's no need for EV subsidies per Tesla's CEO Elon Musk is it now your view EVs are a great idea?

Tesla buyers get no tax breaks since 2018 and there is up to a year wait to get your order shipped.

$7500 rebates are still in place for automatic makers until they sell 200,000 EVs.

The fact remains EV makers are going to lose money their first 10-15 years come hell or high water. This is why the old line OEMs are going bankrupt.

BYD and Tesla are the only two profitable EV makers in the world today.

I tried watching but couldn't get past the hair.

That's fine because we have our self imposed emotional limitations. I faced that with Lady Gaga until I saw A Star is Born and realized her talents and beauty. Clearly self imposed emotional limitations that I had copied from other people prevented me from seeing EVs are not about going green as far as the earth goes but for the bank account to get and stay in the green especially when charging them on sunshine at home.
