Tractor
John Deere 3320 TLB, Ford 2120, Ford 1210
I have just purchased a Ford 2120 tractor and have been looking at loaders for it. The loader that Ford put on it was really beefy, (7109, later 7309) Has about a 2400lb lift capacity at the pin. Quote from Westendorf was $7400+ freight. Anybody have any suggestions? I am looking into building my own, but just wanted to see others thoughts. Tractor doesn't have the SCV for a loader either, so I will have to deal with that as well.

It's not difficult to install a 3 hose power beyond capable joystick valve on a 2120. Make all 3 connections at the distribution block near the brake pedals.

Wow! Loaders are really expensive in the US.

Around here, you could put a brand new loader on the tractors, one of the best made here in Portugal, for somewhere around $3700. This included Euro hook quick attach, a bucket, joystick valve, hydraulic self leveling and assembly at the loader manufacturer so the mounts fit the tractor just perfectly.

If you have the tools, machines and time for a project like an homemade loader, I think you would save a lot of money.

Westendorf is a high dollar brand that typically makes loaders for much bigger tractors than a 2120. Retrofitting a 20+ year old tractor is probably a build-to-order deal, at least for the bracketry. I'd dig a little harder. Woods, Ansung, KMW may be less costly.

Where are you located ? Have you checked any tractor salvage yards ?

Spokane, Washington. I have checked salvage yards online, have found that many don't keep their websites up to date :). Have loaders pictured but have already sold them. We don't have many out this way, there is one in Oregon that is pretty good, but they don't currently have anything.

I tried looking at Woods, but, unless I am missing something, they don't have loaders anymore? Backhoes, but I don't see loaders listed on their website? Ansung didn't appear to have anything for that tractor model, I will check out KMW

Well, I'll but one from Portugal, can you put it on a raft and send it my way :)

Thanks for the info, I have been doing some research and it sounded like it wouldn't be too bad.

The after-the-fact lesson here is if you need a tractor with a loader you should buy a tractor that has a loader.

Matching a new loader to any mid 1990's tractor is a tall order.

I have a 1620 and just went through the same pain in rear. I bought the tractor with the factory front blower and no loader. I hunted for a few months calling every new tractor dealer anywhere remotely near, watching fb marketplace, Craigslist, etc. I also got a quote from westendoef for $4700 with a quick attach setup.

I finally found a complete 1520 with a loader and a transmission leak inside the bellhousing for $4k at a new holland dealer 2 hours away. I immediately went and picked it up and had the loader on my tractor within an hour of getting back. I purchased a universal quick attach retrofit kit for $240 from Vevor and cut the pin on brackets off the bucket and welded them onto the quick attach parts.
