Good morning!!!!

Morning all, Soggy weekend but did get some saw time in.

Next project is a table I am making from one of the rounds.
So nice to have a big saw, cut a stump by the ground only took a few minutes, with old saw it could take an hour to let saw cool down as I went.
Got lawn tractor battery at HD, only had one model, and not many of those.

Did what I hope is last mower run for the year for grass, and moved around some leaves. More leaves to come and will get the walk behind blower out for them when the time comes.

Stay safe and be well,

73°F and cloudy this morning, only going up to 75° today. It was already starting to rain when I got to work this morning at 07:00, and is expected to rain through much of the day, including some severe stuff around noon with potential for tornadoes.

Wife and I took the kayaks out Saturday morning, possibly for the last time this year. We went to Washington County Lake near Nashville IL, a small lake about 40 miles southeast of us that I've had on a list of potential places to paddle. It's about 250 acres, and is more coves than main channel. It turned out to be better than we expected. Other than a considerable wind near the boat ramp, most of the lake was pretty peaceful and smooth. We paddled up to the north end, dipping into some of the larger coves, then back again. We only really explored the west side, but plan to go back again and do some more exploring along the east side. Was a fun trip that only spent about two hours on the water. They also have abundant camping areas available, as well as some cabins, clean bathrooms, and a bait/snack shop.

Sunday morning I had to make a trek to Walmart in Highland to get a new microwave oven. The cheapy one we've had for the last four years had been acting up over the last week or so, with the start button sometimes not working. Saturday evening it stopped working all together, and the turntable motor started making an unsettling noise. So, I picked up a new Hamilton Beach that's slightly larger and slightly more powerful. They had seven different models to choose from, but only three of them actually stocked on the shelves. Fortunately, the one we wanted was there. I say "was" because I grabbed the last one.

The rest of my Sunday was spent riding around the yard and pasture on the zeroturn mower. I was rewarded with a delicious dinner of my Wife's BBQ pulled chicken.

67°f and .95 inches rain.

By now many have heard about our earthquake yesterday. 6.2 for the big one. No damage here. Quite the shaker though.

Still way too wet to mow.

The diagonal flooring looks like too much work

Zoom Happy Hour this afternoon.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Herringbone is too much work.
Followed by Diagonal.
Followed by room size width/length vs vertical/horizontal layouts.

LOL.

Is best to just lay out a few square feet in each pattern, walk away for a few hours, come back and decide.

I found that crawling around doing flooring is better than standing up doing drywall and ceiling work over the years.

Glad to hear that you're OK, David. I did read a little about there being an earthquake this morning.

Morning, well afternoon all;
In deference to all who wished to not discuss covid issues in Good Morning I started a thread
called covid19 bull.
As I had mentioned earlier I baby sat by grand daughter whos daycare got shut down due to a parent testing positve
for covid a week and half ago.
So if you want an interesting read check it out.

I mowed my field diagonal Saturday. Occasionally I mow it side to side the narrow way. I prefer mowing the long way, as I can see the stripes from the house.

Less end cuts going long way.

I prefer a fiddle over violin. My dad has a homemade fiddle, one of my relatives used to make them. It’s not much to look at, but you can play it if you know how. I bought a bow once and sawed away on it. Never heard a cat screech any worse.
