Well after reading another thread I decided to look closer for my leak. It’s leaked since day one. Found what kioti calls a cap seal leaking on the clutch case. I’m not sure dealer will warranty this. It’s still under power train warranty but not the first year unlimited. The seal is only 5 bucks and all needed to replace will be to remove the battery and drain the hydraulic oil. Moral of the story, no matter how minor the leak call your dealer while it’s still under the first year unlimited warranty. I’ve never replaced one and ain’t got a clue how to. Heat? Liquid nitrogen? Idk. Guess I’ll have to check into it.

U might be able to stop the leak with just a little sealant.

Talked with dealer today. Definitely under warranty. Service tech said they’re just like freeze plugs in engine blocks with a thin rubberized material around the circumference. Asked if it would void warranty if I tried it first since dealer so far away. He said absolutely NOT. Offered to order the plug for me. He did say take pictures first just in case new plug doesn’t work they will have something to send in to kioti if I decide to bring it in after I give it a try. So what have I got to lose? Time. Draining hydraulic oil and fixing is way faster than 2 hrs to dealer waiting 3-4 days and going back to pick up machine.

I suggest putting it on the trailer to try the repair. That way if you are not successful it will be loaded.
Excellent suggestion!

Good idee! I believe I can handle it. Ordered two plugs just in case first goes bust. Besides. Having it on trailer sure beats crawling around on ground!

I believe you can handle it, but isn't it great to have a backup plan?

@IndyJay no doubt it’s good to have a backup plan. The thought never crossed my mind. Glad he brought it up! This is only the third MINOR issue I’ve had with this tractor. One was the back rest on the seat. Dealer shipped new one to door. Second was bolts in loader control lever worked loose. (Little boy always “workin”) and now this. Oh and I do recommend since you got the same tractor to take boot off of loader control and put lock tite on ALL those little bolts and nuts under there. When they come loose it ain’t gonna be when it’s parked.

(y) Thanks for the heads up!
