I’m looking for some help identifying this part, I need to replace the cable that’s attached to set the blade height. 2305 with a 62D deck

I think something is wrong.
The pictured height adjustment is different from the 2305 IIRC. The view that "been" posted is the one for a 2305. Also, I don't remember the 2305 having a drive-over deck. Didn't they have a 62C?

Thanks, mine is a bit different, I’ve included more pictures, something I should have done the first time. The part that the knob locks into is round and in the one picture you can see where the wire tore off.

You are right on all counts, it is a 2305 and a 62D deck

This is the cable I’m looking for, approximately 17” long

I sold my 2305 nine years ago, so I am going strictly on memory.
So don't set me on fire if I'm wrong...
The 2305 never had a drive-over deck.
If you have one, it is a custom made, one of a kind.
But it is obvious you have the height adjustment for a drive-over deck. Try searching for the cable for a 2520 or maybe a 2320.

Is there any chance you got the numbers mixed up and you have a 2320 and not a 2305?

I'm a little dyslectic and do things like that.

That helps.. was going to ask after the first post, but waited to see if this would get filtered out.
Figured any mistake would be seen when you searched at JD parts, as where I became confused when the 62D deck didn't match up.
