We have 3 binsWell, here, for example, we have mandatory recycling. So this county can claim that 100% of households participate in recycling. Now drive down the street on recycle day. Many don't have the bins at the curb. Look in the bins. Many are very empty. Look in their trash. Plenty of recyclable items that aren't put in the trash. Look in their driveway. Plenty of large vehicles that are unnecessary. Look in their windows. Many lights are on. Look in their yards. Most have all night security lights. Go to the grocery store. More trucks and SUVs than cars in the lot. Go in the winter. Most of the diesels are idling away. The list goes on and on.
Yes, some conscientious people do try and be as un-wasteful as possible, most do not on a meaningful level.

Great question. Kinda related to the ugly names (racist, etc) you get called for merely questioning the cause. Why do people think that anyone disputing the cause is also disputing the effect?
man oh manLol no, I don't care about the town size. My point was that the video maker cherry picked his location to find a trend that fit his viewpoint. So I easily did the opposite in 10 seconds of searching. But again, if you do this across the entire planet... and average it out.... its a clear increasing trend in surface temperatures.
My point exactly, I cherry picked a location, same as the video dude did. But see my response to plowhog above. We have the data.... across the entire planet... it's warming. Not really up for debate. The why is what we can debate. If the climate alarmists are wrong, whats main downside that you are concerned about? Some more regulation on your business and personal vehicles? Taxes? Genuinely curious.
If the climate alarmists are right, on the other hand, you guys are obstructing the only chance we have to save this planet from a lot of human suffering. It's worth protecting our air, just in case.

it does around here!Does burning everything but glass and metal in your backyard count as recycling? Asking for a friend...

"avvvvvverrrrrrraaaaageeeeee".My electric company did not get the memo that this July was the hottest on record. According to my bill, the average July 2021 temp for July was 73. A year ago in July 2020 it was 78. For some reason I believe the utility company. They don't have an environmental axe to grind if the temp is high or low.
There's no market for the recyclables.Well that sort of makes my point...rather than spending all the media time and money preaching their AGW blame game every time they get a chance....they should be pushing ways to improve the way individuals can actually do something...like recycle...
IMO there is much more of an effort by whatever factions to make people believe that man is the cause than there is an effort to do anything about it...
Noah's Ark in KY. resembles an amusement park more than a museum. Its relevance to Climate Change is dubious.yupper
i've read a couple articles about it and pbs did a documentary on it.
i know the hobby lobby folks just got busted for buying illegal relics from the mid east. i believe this museum was also implicated.
Aggravating, ain't it?We have 3 bins
1. General trash
2. plastic and aluminum bottles cans, etc.
3. cardboard.
Our esteemed trash collection company collects everything in 1 truck (previous trash company had 2 separate trucks).
Theres 2 compactor bins in the current truck. They take bin#2 and put it in one compactor bin. They put #1 & #3 together in the other compactor bin.
So everyone dutifully separates the cardboard (#3) from the general trash (#1) and the trash collectors throw it all in the same compactor bin. Lol
Hmm... seems like Noah was making a claim that major climate change was coming.Noah's Ark in KY. resembles an amusement park more than a museum. Its relevance to Climate Change is dubious.
Government Regulations that don’t work and are openly violated.Aggravating, ain't it?![]()
I'm sure someone, somewhere, took into account many temperature measurements around the globe to reach their conclusion; not just the temp in your back yard.My electric company did not get the memo that this July was the hottest on record. According to my bill, the average July 2021 temp for July was 73. A year ago in July 2020 it was 78. For some reason I believe the utility company.
