Thanks to more heavy rain there has been a lot of slipping and sliding in mud this afternoon, pulling out lambs for market. My welly boots couldn't get a grip, my feet felt like a 2 wheel drive tractor on turf tires, while the 40kg+ lambs were digging in like a 4 wheel drive on ags - with diff lock.

So much for using fuel stabilizer.....

LS, earlier today I came across some fuel stabilizer in the shed that I bought 3 years ago and never used.
Now I am wondering if I should have added something to stabilize the stabilizer ?

The cottage was barely more than a box, no electricity, no plumbing, no kitchen or bathroom.
My Kioti CK30 was already here though

Debris in depression raked out, fill added, and compacted as best I could. The fill is much drier and really isn't the ideal moisture level to compact ... will have to wait until the moisture in the soil below percolates up through it to do it correctly. May throw a tarp over it to help it retain the moisture.

Wash the cars and you'll have all the "moisture" you need when it starts raining...

Rationing of fuel in the 70s was no joke. Long lines odd even days by license plate numbers yuk

You still getting at least 120V or are they browning out?

No effect so far, Drew, and not likely to see any in the future. PG&E has already indicated they'll be conducting more so called Public Safety Power Shutoffs this summer, so any additional power outages caused by the offline power plant will just be more of the same. About the only impact is not being able to run the A/C without also running the generator.

The fire smoke is having a significant impact on solar panel output, though. For example, today under somewhat hazy conditions, the output was about 4kWh in the 10 o'clock hour. Two days ago when I couldn't even see the canyon bottom for the smoke, it fell to 1.4 kWh in the same hour.

I graduated from college in '79, and made several interview trips, two of which were to the Los Angeles area, and two more to the San Francisco Bay Area. No gas shortage in the Bay Area at all, but the rental car companies in LA told me I wouldn't be able to buy gas while I had the car, and they didn't have any to come and get me with if I ran out. People were running out of gas sitting in lines at the pumps, and they were really long lines. Guess which place I took a job in?

Probably another warm and humid day.

I believe there must be a manufacturing problem with my digital bathroom scale.
It's stuck on one number and won't go down.
Perhaps I should call customer service...

PT, then food shopping this morning, perhaps a trip out to look at some new shrubs.

I'm looking at a 2007 43 foot tag axle Monaco Dynasty tomorrow morning, has everything I want including
a washer and dryer and dishwasher. 75k mile, owned by local builder and realtor a mile from my home.
Price is reasonable compared to others which of course makes me wonder...400hp Cummins, 1200 torque.
Ready for Gale Banks engine kit.
Just couldn't resist looking at one literally down street, same road I'm on. I told seller I wasn't sure but would bring them
some tomatoes anyway. They liked that idea.

Am thinking positively, hoping I have another chapter of fun ahead, before back operations and worsening physical shape.
I still need someone to accompany me so I'll need to work on that. That could be LOTS more expensive...

Good morning! Starting out warm at 78˚F heading to the mid 90s - still a few degrees less than our seasonal high of 99˚F in August.

Our county's covid cases went from about 300 new cases a day to 200 Friday and I'm anxious to see the daily new cases this week. I'm still looking for this quick Delta rise to do as predicted and top out August 11th. Austin hospitals have 95 covid cases in the ICU and 4 of them are breakthrough cases. Not quite the 99.9% the news media is reporting.

Kyle, I here there is an outbreak in your county that started after the Methodist and VFD fundraisers events in the Northern part of the county. A lot of non-vaccinated are hitting the feed store for cow de-wormer to ward off covid.

Roy, remember to schedule another recuperation day on your second vaccination. The second jab hit me pretty hard - at least I know it was effective.

Drew, you just keep bouncing back, you must have someone in mind to be your co-pilot if you are already starting to look at RVs.

The garden e-mailed again and want's me to do the impossible - compact more garden compost. It's seat time so I'll try but then I'm closing the dumpsters down till they bring us some more empty ones. Our menu tonight calls for fresh green beans and the first batch of my garden beans are ready to pick.

Tis the season for appliances I guess! We went out today and purchased a new stove and clothes dryer! $1700 for both delivered. We're hoping the fridge last longer as it's only 6 years old.(been repaired 4 times already though)
78 here and humid. Not much going on as it's just not worth it in this heat.
Spent friday and saturday on deck construction at my cousins. We are tying the old into the new. Old deck is off plumb 3/4 of an inch so we need to fix the footings and re-level before we can continue. Maybe this weekend if it cools down.
Wife is going for eye surgery wednesday. 75% chance it will relieve the pressure and her sight will improve.(let's hope!) She can't do the drops as it aggravates her heart issue. We are hoping for great results!

LOL I would have already replaced the fridge, warranty or not. I hate things like that. Happened to me with a new AWA TV once. 3 repairs in about 15 months... to the dump the 4th time. Microwaves, 2 of them, 1 was just over a year and one was 364 days. (refund)
Too old to tolerate things like that now. I had a Bosch dishwasher that wouldn't clean properly. It went to the dump at 1 year old as we wouldn't use it.
Touch wood we are having a good run at the moment.
